Reviews for Bob Dobb's Bar & Grill in Tucson, AZ
One of my go to spots for relieving the "Pastrami Reuben addiction" I've suffered with all these years. Chef Matt will take good... care of you, the man has a smile on his face and loves what he does...cooking! I recommend stopping by and saying Hi to Matt, heRocks! Read more
Excellent food, prices, and atmosphere But a big area of opportunity for this establishment to be a perfect 5 is the service. ... Servers are rude, and not customer service oriented. Read more
First off I want to say that I like the feel of the bar. The prices are good and the other patrons were awesome! The bartender... was terrible. She was rude, unattentive, and in my opinion just off putting. I'll go back because I want to try again whenmaybe somebody else is bartending other than Alexa. The cook was kind when he brought out the food. He also brought menapkins, I retrieved my own ketchup and hot sauce. Read more
Great food! First time going and it was really good, food came out pretty fast too and the cook was really nice
Bob Dobbs used to be a great Tucson staple, I don't know what happened... I stopped in with two friends today. As soon as we... sat down, the bartender hardly looked at us and said, “You guys are gonna have to wait. I’m busy.” We said, “that’sfine” and made sure to have our drink orders ready when she got to us. We weren't demanding, or rude. We told her to take hertime and happily accepted the 15-20 minute wait before she even took our drink order. When she finally got to us, my friendasked for a Blue Hawaiin (he gets it every time we come here and the bartenders have always happily made it for him). Shedramatically stopped what she was doing, stared at him, and said, “Really…? You want me to make that when I have a fullbar?” My friend (who has major social anxiety and was feeling ashamed, embarrassed and mortified in this moment) quicklychanged his mind to try to appease her. “I’ll just take an old fashioned. Please, take your time. No rush.” He said. Sherolled her eyes and said, “Are you serious right now? You want me to make an old fashioned?” At first, I thought she wasjoking (that's how wild it was). When I realized she was serious, it upset me. I’ve never seen someone be bullied by abartender, and my friend was clearly embarrassed and hurt. Not to mention - Bob Dobbs is a small bar, so there was anaudience. I said, “Are you serious right now? An old fashioned is a normal drink, and he told you to take your time.?” Sheresponded with, “Ma’am, this is a dive bar. I don’t have time to muddle stuff.” I said, “that’s fine. I don’twant anything then. If you can't serve him a very basic drink without shaming him, I'm out.” My friends and Ileft. Embarrassed and clearly in-the-wrong, she shouted at me as my friends and I left the bar. I've never experienced this. Iresponded with, "I'm not sure what to say... Sorry for coming in and ordering drinks... I guess?" "MA'AM this is a DIVE bar"she said. "I don't have time to muddle drinks" she repeated. Read more

The place is okay we had a waitress and then she just disappeared she must have finished her shift and didn't say anything and... was outside drinking with some of the customers well letting us know that she was out of work so we have to rely on thebartender behind the bar to order any food or anything like that I thought that was very unprofessional the mood or the bar iscompletely different that I'm used to I felt very uncomfortable there it's just a different crowd if you're not a local or ifthey don't know you you get treated like a stepchild but I did order the pastrami Reuben and it was great if I ever go backagain which I doubt I would order that sandwich again but I would say the bartender did a good job she took care of hercustomers and us Read more
