I know better than to go out and eat Mexican food, Pero a friend and I tried Bennys. I got the chorizo breakfast Portions were... small for the cost and chorizo taste like oragano. Went there today. I waited almost 5 mins for them to take my order in the drive thru. I ordered some pozole, two tacos and a... chimichanga with a horchata. then waited another 15 mins to get my food in the drive thru. I finally got my food and it was39.64. Delicious food, good service, family friendly. We had the kids quesadilla, fries, chicken tacos, a Chile rellano burrito, and... the Rene plate. Everything was delicious, and the servings were perfect. The salsa was almost drinkable. Read more
This was a quick lunch stop before my drive to Phoenix. Stopped into Benny's and had their Sonoran red chili burrito. It was... packed full of meat and very good. In hindsight I should have gotten some sides to go with it as it was a little too one note intaste but it was very good. The salsa and chips were excellent. Read more
First time coming to Bennys for pozole and got the best bowl by far. Asked for oregano and crushed pepper and the waitress... brought out a tiny bowl for oregano and a grinding block for the crushed peppers. Real authentic in my opinion, best dam pozoleever! I?ve been to many other restaurants that serve pozole and none come close to the experience I had here. Read more
I enjoy their Pozole but my last visit to Benny's they got my order wrong and raised their price for the Pozole from $12 to $14.... I get prices are going up. I asked for flour tortillas as I always do but got bread. I always ask for extra hominy less meat. Ieven pay extra for it. I called them to check on the price since this is basically a bowl of soup. She told me the Pozole (soup)was now $16 !!!! I know everything has gone up but this is shameful and you don't even get chips and salsa ???? Read more
