It is very fun to spend time browsing inside of Barnes and Noble. They recently did over the inside placement of merchandise in... the store and it is delightful. It is so much easier to find categories of books and writing supplies and other items than itused to be. It is very visually pleasing as well. Stopped by Barnes & Noble because we had some downtime while visiting family in Tucson and my kids wanted to look for new books.... I didn't go in with the intention of buying anything but they had some great deals and we actually walked out with a handful ofnew books. I even purchased one for myself as well. Being one of the last brick and mortar chain book stores in the country, I make an effort to buy a book here every few weeks. As... we move toward this ?Brave New World,? I realize how important/enjoyable reading is. Yes, you may be able to get the same bookfor $2 cheaper on Amazon, but I will do my part to keep retail book stores like this one in business for as long as possible! Read more
I went in to cool off a while before an interview after getting off the bus. I was really surprised their Cafe was shut down,... and then grateful that there was a little set of chairs and a table I could sit at to prepare for my interview. Needs automatic doors for wheelchairs. It's nice there are so many handicap spots in the parking lot, but what good is that if... you can't even get in the building. This place has such heavy doors and no assistance. Not to mention the bathroom door isextremely heavy and you have to pull it open from the inside. If my husband wasn't there to run and catch the door for me Iwould probably still be there trying to get the door open. These doors should either be lighter or get an upgrade to where aperson in a wheelchair can access them with ease. Read more
We brought our six children here to pick out as many books as they wanted. The store was clean, and well stocked. The employees... were extremely kind. I do wish there were carts there, but we were able to make due by bringing up the stacks of books to thefront counter, and they held them there while we continued to shop around. The manager helped check us out, and was so patientand polite the entire time, even with our large purchase. We will definitely be back! Read more
I enjoy taking my family to Barnes and Noble. The staff is always nice, energetic, and seems very passionate about reading. I... like to let my kids come and read a little bit, and buy a few books, to encourage them to read more. This time, it paid off!
