Lovey service, modern spacious decor. My fish tasted dry and the batter had no crunch. The chips were great.

We decided to splurge for our anniversary dinner and finally try out Harry's. It's a 50/50 split on my feelings for this place.... I think they need to change their fryer oil because I know what overused oil looks like. It results in very dark deep friedfish. The coleslaw was extremely dry. It was more like a side salad. I like the idea of the NeverEnding tartar sauce but theycould tend to cut back on the horseradish and add more dill. Probably out of their control because they have it delivered in avat. Delicious cod and chips. Battered sausage was delicious. Staff were friendly and gave great service. Drinks were filled when... empty, they aren't cheap with the tarter sauce (hate it when they give you a tiny bit) fish tastes fresh and have perfect amountof batter. Price is affordable, and big portions. Place is very clean, staff super friendly without being annoying lol. Willbe my go to for fish and chips from now on. Read more

Stopped in here to kill some time so the tunnel traffic will die down. Located in Tsawwassen Commons. Not a busy outlet mall so... plenty of parking. A quiet night here in Harry's but notice the front of staff are totally on point. Quick to greet thecustomer arriving at the door, do the obligatory food check after the first few bites taken and leave you alone to eat only tobe back when it seems you are finished. All the tables are cleared and cleaned in a timely manner. They don't rush you out ifyou are still just hanging back to digest (like I was, when I was composing this review). Wow, the haddock 1-piece with chipswas so good! The curry sauce was pretty good too (maybe like curry gravy so the curry flavour was a touch dialed-back. Thefries were a touch on the crispy side of cooked (just about to turn golden) so they were fine (I tend to like them maybe anotherhalf minute more in the fryer). I was recommended this place for the fish, curry sauce and mushy peas (sorry, maybe next time).I will definitely recommend this place to anybody in the area whether local or passing through. Prices are decent compared toother choices in the area. Size was good (at least, for the haddock that I had). I will definitely be back, maybe with othersnext time. Read more

I have a young family and tonight was pretty much the first time we dined in as a family since the start of the pandemic.... Restaurant was spacisous and our host was super friendly, easy to deal with and well tended to our needs. If you have a littleone you'll know what I meant. The food is absolutely fantastic here - don't know how they fry stuff but everything was reallycrispy on the outside, tende and warm on the inside. Wish I had taken a picture of the food.... That said, took the picture asattached as I found they paid a lot of attention to details. I really appreciated the fact that the bathroom signage included anaccessibility icon as well. We had the cod and halibut meals, I was very happy with mine fries are great, fish was done great ! Wife said her halibut was... same taste as cod. Other than that, the in dining experience was very nice. Service was good, considering the small amount ofpeople at the time. Had real hope for this place, nice name nice interior but the food was pretty awful. The cod was a small rubbery block of old... previously frozen tasting fish, definitely not fresh. I also wonder if these cooks have actually been to a British Chippy?? Ihave included a photo of what you would normally get in a British Chippy for reference.
