Sherry's Cafe is a hidden gem in Trussville. My family and I ate a late lunch (3:30 PM) and the selection of food was excellent... as was the food it's self. Sherry's offers a very nice selection of entries and a great selection of sides with very generousportions. Oh, and the awesome slaw really is. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My waitress, Terrie, was excellent, the food was excellent and the cost was reasonable. It is a buffet and I tried a variety,... Chicken & dressing, fried okra, black eyed peas, turnip greens and roll, the sweet tea was very tasty and Terrie even gave me aglass to go. Very good experience! Read more

Greeting and seating was nice. Food- canned turnip greens (with a fair attempt to season them), dry cornbread, baked chicken... drowned in a thick and, I'm sure, packaged gravy mix. AMAZING OKRA!! Pretty sweet little meat & 3. Will definitely be back!! ?towards the end of our meal, our waitress came back to... ask I had liked the creamed corn (it was the only side we had that was not fully consumed). We loved it! The food was excellent as was the service! The dining room and the serving area were clean and pleasant. It was so... nice to have soft music playing in the background and not loud, screaming noise. The servers and waitstaff were very pleasantand helpful. We will definitely go back. April 20, 2021... The food was pretty good. It was not as good as it was when we werethere last month on a week day. I was very disappointed with the green beans! They had put some hot pepper sauce in them and Idon't want anything hot; not even with black pepper!! That needs to be added AT THE TABLE! The service was great. My husband'spork chop did not get out until he was almost done eating so they removed it from the bill!! We appreciated that! May ,182022 Went for lunch today. Not good at all! Not sure what was in this Mac and cheese...sweet potatoes was nasty, I don't like coconut in my yams, and the... whole meal was disappointing. Was considering catering my daughter wedding, but I'm scared the food will turn out bad liketoday's food was. Really adorable locally owned restaurant. My first meal here was on Easter Sunday and the parking lot was filled within minutes... of the doors opening. Almost everything is made from scratch and I have yet to come back without Sherry herself being hererunning around. Read more
