This is what good food, good service and a good time is! The laid back atmosphere immediately makes you feel like you have just... shown up to a family reunion that you?ve been waiting for! Once you get past the smell of good home cooking, you look to yourleft and see the pit guys doing what they do best, while you wait in line to order. I usually skip on over to the bar? and yes?I mean I literally sometimes skip. :) You can?t help but be happy when you look up and see a disco ball spinning from theceiling. Then to truly back up the slogan of ?everyday is a good day?, the bartender Justin, shows up and shows out, he is theabsolute BEST! I mean this guy doesn?t stop. He always gets my order right, food comes straight to the bar, while I am enjoyingthe best drink ever, and enjoying the wonderful playlist of Mr. Rodney Scott himself. Oh? and let?s not forget the nice TV?sthey have up. I?ve had a chance to meet people I wouldn?t have met otherwise because of the short wait people have when theyare taking their food to go. Always in a good mood because of the great atmosphere. I love every time I get to go, andrecommend it to everyone. You get what you pay for and it is worth every penny! Read more

Finally, Place a to go order. Nice inside and out! Justin was awesome as it was our first visit! He made a lasting impression.... He made suggestions based on our taste buds and a great to-go came through! Just delicious St Louis Ribs and Beef Brisket! Andoh the Banana Pudding! Must go back for Apple Turnover style pies for they were. Welcome to Trussville Rodney Scott's BBQ!! Read more

Sweet sauce too spicy for our palate. Carolina vinegar sauce was just that, vinegar with a bite. Pork was tender but dry without... a sauce. Baked beans, good, potato salad, great, french fries, ok. Employees were all nice as they could be. We will stick withburgers there from now on. Also $46 for 2 pork plates and drinks. Not complaining about the price though. Lol! Read more

I'm all about Ribs at BBQ joints and for my first go somewhere I always try Ribs and wings! I would have loved to try both... during my first go if only I had that kind of money $$$! Over $30 for a HALF-rack of ribs and two sides after tax....Yes I bitthat bullet and the ribs were really good (8.5/10) but they were not worth the $30+ you pay for that plate. That same weekend Iwent to Winn-Dixie and picked up two full racks of spare ribs for $27 and smoked them that weekend. I will be back to try thewings but doubt they will compete with Moe's BBQ wings (best in Trussville by far). I suggest trying Rodney Scotts as it wasgood and I hope to see them either adjust pricing a bit or bump up the portion sizes to match the bill. Read more

I had a $17 brisket sandwich & fries. Brisket was ok, had very little taste and a little dry. Sauce was the best part of the... meal. They don?t give you much food. So if your hungry you still will be when you leave. Bun is very small and not much brisket.Fries are seasoned crinkle cut. They taste ok but need to change their oil. Read more
