We waited over 15 minutes for a server to greet us. I had to go to the hostess stand to inform them and someone finally came by.... The food was good though. We decided to just get nachos and quesadillas. Also had the chocolate Mexican spice cake. I'll returnjust not when there busy. Seemed to be a little overwhelming for their servers. Read more

Taco salad was tasty but entirely too runny. It was like eating soup. Rice was uncooked and without flavor. Drink selection... limited to Latin American brands. 17 different selections of tequila over kill for the market. Good, quick friendly service. Read more

My husband and I visited and were thoroughly pleased with everything! From the moment we entered we were greeted and seated... right away. Our server Emma was awesome and very attentive! Let?s start with the water. They either have a really good filter orjust some excellent water on tap. This is normally a pet peeve of mine but I had no complaints. The complimentary chips andsalsa were delicious! You could tell from the looks that it?s made fresh in-house and we both enjoyed it. We also ordered theQueso Blanco and Ancho Chile Wings for appetizers and they were both awesome. The glaze on the wings were perfect! We alsoordered Elote (on the cob) Chorizo, Steak, and Firecracker Shrimp tacos! When I tell you that fire sauce on the shrimp tacos! Myonly regret is that I didn?t order some to go. You have a choice of flour, corn or lettuce for your tacos. We also ordered astrawberry margarita, Billie Jean and Ferus beer! We enjoyed it all! Some mentioned that it?s pricey but with the whole vibe, ambiance and quality of food - it?s well worth it. You have a really good view of the giant screen out in the courtyard and theessence of the restaurant and service is commendable. We also noticed our waitress Emma attending to other guests nearby and itwarmed our hearts to see her sign along with them! We will definitely be back and highly recommend you give them a try as well. Read more

Cute little place in the entertainment district. It was fun to try something new. Would come back for the elote and the... cauliflower taco. I think the price is high for the portions. $100 dinner for two. Skip the dessert. Read more

It was okay... pretty pricey in comparison to a lot of Mexican places I have eaten. They only have Avocado ranch, which was a... problem for me bc I'm allergic to Avocado. I did like the Merry mojito drink. We had the molten cake and when I tell u the supersmall scoop of ice cream was crazy, we had to ask for another scoop. The wings were okay as far as the sauce they tossed it inbut the wings had no flavor. The shrimp dip was suppose to have crab meat also but we didn't taste any crab meat. Thecauliflower taco was okay but I think the cauliflower should have had more flavor to it. And once again, its pricey for theportions they give.. Read more

I?ve been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants in my time and, except for minor variations here and there, they were all the same.... Mexicali Blues blows the roof off of that idea. The menu goes so far beyond the usual ?ground beef tacos and enchiladas? thatyou could literally eat there seven days a week and have a different combination every day. I thought the catfish tacos were thebest a taco could be. Then I had the steak. Then I had the shrimp. Then I finally settled on the fried oyster tacos ? which I?mconvinced is the best Mexican dish I?ve ever had. This place popping up 10 minutes from my house was the best thing about myholiday season. Consider me a regular, for sure. Read more
