This place is the best of downtown Truckee. Very hard to get a reservation because it?s so amazing but if you book a week or two... in advance you may get in. Nice hidden gem! Brittany, our hostess was warm and accommodating as was the rest of the staff. We started with the Caesar salad... (added anchovies) - very tasty and enough to feed two. My boyfriend ordered the Pasta Bolognese - I must say this is thetastiest Bolognese sauce that I've ever had; the blend of beef and veal along with the house-made pasta was on point. I orderedthe veal meatballs and pesto and let me tell you, this dish did not disappoint! The dish was light and well balanced. We endedthe night with a vanilla gelato that was balanced by the sweetness and acidity of a fresh strawberry. Can't wait to go back andtell our friends and family about this hidden gem. Read more

Great experience. Staff was lovely. I didn?t like the wine by the glass but that?s not on them. It?s expensive but in a mountain... town it makes sense. The quality of the food product felt farm to table. I was especially impressed with the Chicken Marsala.Although the pasta was a bit bland it was well cooked. Then came the deserts. The picture of the empty plate is all you need toknow. Chocolate pistachio brownie with raspberry drizzle and caramel gelato. YUM vanilla bean crème brûlée for my buddy. Wehad a great time. Best Italian food in Tahoe. You will likely want to make a reservation, even mid week. If you fail to you can usually get a spot... at the bar. Regardless you will find nightly specials and proper drinks. I prefer to enjoy multiple courses and stay for atleast 1.5 to 2 hours to get the full experience. My favorites are the ravioli, any dish with the sausage and the arugulasalads. Don't overlook the appetizers and last but not least the wine list is impressive. Read more

I usually don?t write reviews for restaurants, but my experience here blew me away. I came here for birthday dinner with my... family. My parents had been given a gift card by my sister, which they lost. After speaking with the guy who I assumed was theowner (never got his name), he looked through the purchase history and gave us a new gift card to use. Above and beyond what?sexpected of good service. The appetizers, main course, and desserts were all delicious, some of the best Italian food I?ve everhad. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, delicious food and awesome staff. If you?re in Truckee give it a try. Read more
