I have been wanting to come out here for some time. Tonight I was craving some comfort food and pulled the trigger on some good... ol Chicken Joes. I ordered the 3 piece combo meal with Mac n Cheese for a side. Magnifico is what I have to say about theirchicken ????. The 3 piece included a breast, thigh, and leg. Perfectly fried chicken. Nice and crisp and tender. Some dam goodchicken here. I heard alot about their potato cones which I will get next time. I cant wait to come here again. Read more
This place used to be a favorite spot of mine, but the last couple orders changed that. I'm not sure if they had to switch... brands of ingredients to save money, or whether a new staff was hired and never trained, but the quality has gone rapidlydownhill. My last order of the buffalo chicken fries, although picked up only a few minutes after it was marked as ready, weresoggy and the fries lacked any flavor or seasoning. The corn fritter bag was also not closed in any way, which led to them beingcold as on the first bite. For $25, I expected my money's worth, but instead I was left wishing for a refund. I'm not sure whatthe issue is, but as a long term customer I am very disappointed in the quality drop of once beloved food. Read more
This place is a good alternative to popeyes or KFC. I love the Mac and cheese with banging bites (chicken nuggets) on top, and I... love love the pulled chicken fries. I've gotten the chicken box, the meat is well seasoned but can be dry; the BBQ chickensandwich, which is tasty; the chicken Philly, which is bland; and a few of the wraps, which are always dry. The sides: cornfritters, Mac and cheese bites, mashed potato cones, are bland and skippable. So much for the food. The primary reason I'mwriting this review is to express my frustration with the fact that *everytime* I go there they are out of something : theynever ever have the pulled chicken fries, they don't have some salad components, they run of Mac and cheese, coleslaw, etc. I donot remember the last time I was able to order what I wanted instead of a replacement. I go after work on Fridays mostly, not atsome strange time or right before closing. It would be wonderful if they could get their stocking game on point. Read more
Chicken very dry and tasteless, despite waiting for a fresh batch. Would not recommend the grab bag - we got half of what... should have been in it, so not worth the cost. Employees very friendly, but quality control lacking. Overall disappointed. Won't be returning to this location. Read more
I love the food. Tastes delicious. So it saddens me when the prices get higher but the portions seem to get smaller or become... the same as the sizes underneath them. Like the nuggets and fries meals, for example. Nuggets and fries, handful of mac n cheeseand lil more fries all for $40. Seems steep. Especially with gas prices right now, I might as well have stood home and savedthat for gas honestly. Sometimes you have to give in to a craving, you've earned it. But then it's so little bit that it's easyto regret instead of feel glad about it ??????????? Read more
High quality chicken. Very well-managed restaurant. Employees have been consistently good over the years. Food is consistently... good. Comes out fast, too. I order a bunch of food and it comes out in like ten minutes. I waited longer than 10 minutes atMcDonald's the other day. Definitely the best chicken spot in the area. One of the best in the capital district. My favoritesauce is hot honey. They do really well with customizations if you want things extra crispy extra saucy and extra bacon like Ido. The one negative I have is I think pretty much every one of their dishes could use more sauce. But maybe that's just me tho.Or maybe at least allow one extra sauce per dish for free. Also, they have a cash discount of 4%. That's better than mostrewards cards for dining and it helps the business out as well. I highly recommend this place. First timer at the Troy, NY location. Ate in around noon. Fast and friendly counter service. They even brought the food out when... it was ready. Nice and hot. I had the Classic Chicken (crispy) sandwich and the crispy french fries. Both were excellent. Thequality on the chicken was almost as good as the standard setting Chic Filet. My friend had the mashed potato cones ( a ball ofdeep fried mashed potatoes) and I tried one and will get those from now on. They were stellar. Place was clean although theeating area is due for a refresh. Overall I'd give them 4.5 stars if that were an option. Read more
I had there chicken legs and breast with ranch, I also got onion rings they were really good. They had the perfect amount of... breading around the onion just the way I like them. I also got a lemonade, it was ok but it was like lemon water? thank you foran amazing meal???? Read more
