Anyone who knows me knows that I love City BBQ. When I got married they catered my wedding and my graduation party. I used to... be a secret shopper and ate there regularly and reviewed my meals. Tonight I ordered a carry out dinner. I stood at the counterfor 25 minutes. I asked about my order twice and finally asked to just cancel the order. They proceeded to tell me my orderfailed despite me showing them my app confirmation, email confirmation, as well as my credit card where they authorized thetransaction not once but twice. The manager then told me I needed to pay again if I wanted the order. I?ll be eating somethingelse tonight and I guess I?ll be monitoring my credit card to make sure I don?t get charged for food I never got. I came for the famous brisket, they were out. Got ribs- two fell off the bone- the rest had to be knawed off. Flavor was good... though. I hated the Mac n cheese, but loved the green beans. I don't like that everything is a la carte, gets pricey that way.Another complaint- our whole family's meal was set out on a tray for about 5 minutes while my husband's fries were cooking, sonothing was hot, but luke warm. This is no big deal, just worth noting. I prefer a mustard based or vinegar based sauce- neitherto be found. Prob won't be back to try the brisket just because I've had better sides, ribs and prices. I prefer Mission andDickie's, even Billy Slim's over City BBQ. Read more
City BBQ catered my wedding and ABSOLUTELY THREW DOWN!!! I got so many compliments on the food with several people telling me... ?This was the best food I have ever had at a wedding!? and ?I ate way too much but it was so good, I couldn?t stop!? Being abusy bride, I only got to pick at my plate but luckily, there was so much leftover that I got to have a leftover party with myfamily the next day and HAVE MERCY, people were right! Everything tasted amazing, even the next day. The attention to detailcompletely blew me away as well, from the ease of working with the catering coordinator Ashley leading up to the event, to howbeautifully the buffet was displayed, down to the sweet congratulatory card left in the card box by Kristy and Jacquelyn. BBQ was only OK, which is fine however you definitely pay a premium here for your food. The quality did not match the price you... pay. A 2 meat combo with 2 sides and a drink is nearly 30$... Having real cutlery when dining in was nice, versus plasticware. Reply to owner: If you want to make it "right" lower your prices or make better BBQ. Lots of selfie opportunities City barbecue is fun and filled with fun spots for photo opportunities. There is a large beach... chair to taking a picture sitting with a pig. This is not a formal place, but you go to the counter and bring the food back toyour table. You can make your order seem more fancy by placing your food items on plates that are provided by the side popfountain. The meat was cooked and delivered to perfection. The brisket sandwich was great, as well as the brisket stew. TheFrench fries were not crunchy and not up to satisfaction. The corn bread was the most disappointing. I would normally share a picture of the food but I had a bite on the way to my table and then it just disappeared just like... that... I will say I was extremely surprised at how well this tasted. It is hands down some of the best I've had in many yearsand every aspect of it was good. The service was incredible as well as the food and the atmosphere. The corn bread pudding wasout of this world and my wife flipped over the banana pudding. Literally nothing that I could complain about in fact everythingwas perfection. Read more
Food was really good! Loved the Nashville chicken sandwiches and the fries were incredibly fresh. Really enjoyed the atmosphere... here and the employees were phenomenal and friendly. Will definitely be back soon to eat my way through the rest of the menu! Read more
This was the best wedding food EVER! We are still getting compliments for how delicious everything was at our wedding. I have an... aunt with more severe allergies and someone on their staff talked with her on the phone as well as sent her photos of theingredient list for some of their food.
