One thing as a parent that I like about Steak and Shake is the pricing. I think they have like 4 meals under $4. I don't like... to pay $12 for lunch for the kids at other fast food locations. So, the $4 meals are the best and is enough for the kids toeat. I also like the happy hour half price on shakes from 2 - 4 p.m. Every time I pass a steak and shake, I will look at myclock in the car to see what time it is....lol. They probably have one of the best shakes from any other fast food locations. That being said, there is one draw back of steak and shake. Their Fries. For some reason, they have the skinniest fries in thebusiness. There have been times I got an order of fries and not only were they skinny but were also broken, probably becausethey are skinny..lol. They still taste ok, but it would nice to get away from the shoestring french fries and get something alittle bigger with the same taste. Overall, we do stop at our local location 2-3 times a month. This place has had a habit of being run poorly and making you wait forever when they get busy for the last few years. Not a... normal wait time either. I blame the management. Back in 2019 they had me waiting for 40 minutes inside and served about 20people in the drive through. But tonight they did something extra dishonest. Tonight they accepted a doordash order only towait 30 minutes and then cancel it. So here's what they basically did. They didn't want to make the order but didn't want to beaccountable so they just ran out the timer and waited until 'closing time'. If they were a real actual honest person theywould've finished cooking it at least. Regardless of the likely excuse that they were busy or whatever. My dasher was waitingfor them and everything. What they did was dishonest and awful. I wish they were more responsible there. This was highlyirritating along with their tendency to make people wait EXTRA LONG for the order. This restaurant in particular gets reallyannoying with how slow they tend to get. I'm telling you sometimes they'll have you wait extra 20-30 minutes if they're busy,longer than a normal 'busy' fast food restaurant. Imagine the exact opposite of Chick Fil A. The manager literally has beendropping the ball whenever things have been getting hairy. He never figured out how to deal with it like other restaurants. Iwatched him get promoted too from a worker, always a bit of a slouch even back in 2013. But the food can be good. But a coupleof times I had some annoying intentional mistakes, like when I ordered two triples I got two, 'two and a half burgers' , meaningthey deliberately ripped the fifth patty in half instead of making 6. The kind of dishonest stuff only a person stuck workingminimum wage for life would do. A few years ago there was a felon working the night shift that made me feel uncomfortable withhow emotional he got because I calmly asked him not to mistakenly add cheese again that time. Read more
Totally different world now than it used to be. I haven't been since early 2020 and decided to come with my daughter as this... used to be our favorite place. There are no servers anymore, you order at a kiosk and it still asks you to tip... Tip whoexactly? Myself? Then you go fill your drink and wait for your food at what used to be the server station. The quality of foodhas gone down, the amount of food options has depleted significantly and the milkshakes are grainy. Not to mention it used to beslammed at this hour and now it's empty like a ghost town just about. I won't be coming back. It's a real shame what thiscompany has become. Read more
First time to Steak and Shake in years. Why have I waited so long to return? Very clean interior. Love the red and white color... scheme. I had a garlic steak burger and fries for $4.89. The burger was incredible. Loved the garlic sauce and the pickles onit were crisp not soggy. I?m not a huge fan of shoestring fries but no one else has them so kind of cool. Wow! We will be forever customers of this steak and shake. Not only was the food amazing, but the sweetest waitress, Alissa,... took our guest experience to another level! She saw my daughter playing with the claw machine, and went back and won her thispuppy. Loved the new experience of this place. Man oh man I missed steak and shake and taking it home is just not the same. The place... is fresh and clean .. you order at the counter and pay then They call you up to grab it. I felt like the food came up fasterand fresher with less fuss. We will definitely be back. Of course I miss the service but this way felt a little moreconvenient and faster. Read more
Out of 50+ SNS we have gone to across the country..... SnS in Trinity Fla on Little Rd location is our #1 favorite time after... time.
