Food was horrible I ordered pepper steak and rice with mash potatos with cabbage on the side and corn bread. First me me say it... barely any food on the tray to eat the mash potatoes was from the box the pepper steak had no taste with horrible can graveythey barely no meat big uncooked peppers the corn bread wasnt corn bread they gave me half of a corn muffin. The cabbage wasvery soggy 20 something dollars the worst soul food I ever had. The girl had a nasty attitude when I ask if they had a menu andit was extremely hot no A.C I will never spend my money there again if I could rate no stars I would. Read more
I've only tried their fish sandwiches (the truth, the comeback) and while it's good the customer service sucks! I've tried to... overlook it a couple of times but can't do it anymore. They answer the phone as if you're calling their personal line, not thebusiness line. Would be great if they took more pride into being pleasant to their paying customers. Read more
This was absolutely unacceptable. For a hefty price, I got dry Mac and cheese, unseasoned dry fried chicken and unseasoned... collards. The rice and gravy was terrible. Cheap, parboiled Uncle ben's style rice with watery, again, unseasoned gravy. Theirtheme. IMO. This was the worst soul food experience and I was very offended at the cost. I do not have a problem paying fortaste but i don't feel like they cared about cooking quality food that day. Read more

Great food!!! Well prepared. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Generous servings. Fast service. They also have an... African store that sells dashikis (made in Taiwan, go figure ????), other articles of clothing, and soaps, body butters, jewelery items and other things. I had a great meal. I ate it in a relaxing environment while pulling over from a long day ofdriving. I got a hot dashiki for $10! Sounds like a bunch of wins is you ask me. Whether you're passing through on a road triplike I was, or you're a local, definitely check them out please. Read more
I was looking for a restaurant to grab dinner before attending a graduation ceremony at the nearby Cure Arena and I came across... this spot. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have an extensive menu of entrée, sandwich, sides and dessert soul foodoptions (many of which have creative names) that are all full of flavor. The prices are reasonable, portions are generous andthey provide fast, friendly service . The restaurant has a warm and homey décor and the counter staff was friendly. Parking ison the street. Yesterday was my birthday and it was the worst day I had in a long time. I decided to order on Doordash from here just to make... part of day easier. I added the assorted dessert option to my cart and in the notes i wrote something along the lines of ?It?smy birthday so I just need a cake slice.? You couldn?t preselect which desert you wanted. Anyways, when the order was deliveredthe bag said ?Happy Birthday Kai! Here?s an extra slice on us!? The gesture was small but it was a wonderful ending to aterrible day. It also helps that the food was great! To whoever did this for me, thank you! I?m very grateful for your kindness! Read more
