This is my go-to spot for lunch while on travel to the area! I'm a creature of habit, so I always get the same thing (gyro... salad and stuffed grape leaves) but every time, it's consistently excellent. So I went to Halal because I'm in a class that gave me an assignment to find a food from the country of Pakistan..but they dont... prepare anything of that nature here but the gentleman i spoke with was the nicest he could be and he actually gave the name naddress of a place i could possibly find something close...so though I didn't eat here I rated on the kindness of its front guy. This review is long overdue! To preface, this is a long review due to the ordeal I had but ultimately U highly recommend this... place. On January 19th, I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, via Uber Eats. I ordered from my place of work inhopes of breaking a religious fast during by lunch break. I looked extensively on The Halal Brothers? menu and I was excited totry the food. I contacted the delivery driver because my app stated he arrived at my work, which he hadn?t because I would haveseen him from standing outside in the cold. I called and directed him to the address I input on the app only for the deliverydriver to say he was just here. I asked for my food and to cut a long story short, the delivery driver gave my food to anotherBlack lady who ?looked like me?, which is odd because myself and the woman the security saw on camera are two completelydifferent body compositions, heights, hair, skin tone, and I wear glasses. The delivery man only stepped a foot in and handedthe food to the first person he saw instead of verifying my name or asking for a security code for delivery. The other personthen took my food. I expressed my frustration and the security expressed their disbelief, and this man told me ?God will blessyou? and left after eventually apologizing. So I had no food and my initial lunch break was gone. Parking is difficult at workso I was reluctant to drive to the location. However, I drove there after seeing Uber had only refunded the tip I gave thedelivery driver after reporting the incident. I explained the situation to the restaurant staff and the owner looked in hisrecords. He realized it was my first time eating there and after my ordeal he gave me my initial order on the house. It was verysweet of him because this ordeal had nothing to do with the establishment, it was solely the Uber driver?s mistake.
