Overpriced and Overcooked! Had a chewy lobster (overcooked), mushy bbq ribs (overcooked & likely a few days old), raw/ hard... potatoes in my potato salad and strange coleslaw. This place obviously precooks everything way in advance and it?s placed in awarmer until served. I?ve had better catering food. A good cook would sample their food to avoid these problems. Not worth theprice we paid and I would not eat here again. Read more

Great filling meal after a long day in Acadia. I ordered a cup of chowder and a Connecticut Lobster Roll (hot with butter!),... which came with one side. The chowder was pretty standard and definitely warmed me up as it was starting to rain. The lobsterroll was delicious, served with butter on the side to use as I?d like. I appreciated that the roll came with a heaping servingof fries which were perfectly crispy and salty. MP was $28, but with the choice of side, it was definitely worth theprice. Unfortunately they were out of their blueberry pie, which they usually get from a local baker ? I?ll have to make my wayback for that! Read more

Pulled pork was excellent and there is enough for 2 very large sandwiches. Lobster Roll was at the other end of spectrum. Tiny... is being generous. For $28 your better off going to Union River Lobster Pot and getting a 1 1/4# Lobster dinner for $28 Stickwith the BBQ here. It's very good 5 star . Read more

I will start off by saying the lobster is 5 out of 5. I will follow that up with a statement that should be self evident - don?t... order a cheeseburger from a lobster house! The cheese burger was a 3. Service is friendly, but they are so busy that you mightfind it difficult getting their attention once you have your food. Bring your own water as their tap water is not alwaysavailable. It was explained to me that it?s from a well and if not tested - they can?t serve it. That makes sense and it?s goodto see they are not cutting corners. For lobster - Acadia Lobster is outstanding. Read more

Very casual roadside eatery with indoor and outdoor picnic tables. Not busy on a Tuesday in June around noon. You pick a menu... from a basket, decide what you want, and give your order to the cashier. They deliver food to the table which came in a veryreasonable amount of time. About 6 beers on tap and another 6 or so in bottles. We had IPAs on draft which were good. They havewine which appears to come out of a box. Various non-alcoholic beverages as well which are self-serve from a cooler. Ordered thepulled pork sandwich, Maine lobster roll, clam chowder, and lobster dinner. The clam chowder was thick and had good flavor. However, the bowl we got looked more like a cup. The pulled pork was tasty as was the side of coleslaw with pineapple which wasinteresting. The lobster roll was a lobster roll. Nothing terribly special about it but it was good. The french fries are thestring type. They were not very crunchy and looked pretty sad on the plate. However, the flavor was delicious. Most likely thefair amount of salt they were tossed with! The lobster dinner was the winner! A huge, steamed lobster that was perfectly cooked? no mushiness at all. The side of corn on the cob was so sweet and crisp. The plate came with melted butter and a small pat ofbutter for the corn. BTW ? they also have something called a Connecticut lobster roll. I googled it and the difference is theConnecticut is served warm with a little butter instead of mayonnaise. All in all, a fine experience. Not cheap ? about $120 for4 people (and one person only had the clam chowder). But that seems to be the price you pay around here. We would return. Read more

While visiting in Maine, we stopped here for a lobster roll. We were specifically looking for the California style and not too... many places seem to make it that way. We thought it was great and really enjoyed it. My boyfriend also got bbq and said it wasgood. We got corn on the cob for sides which was also tasty. This place has a great atmosphere as well. Thanks for making myfirst lobster roll and blueberry soda a success! Read more

Good place we found on the way back from MDI. We thought BBQ was great we were a bit tired of fish so we had the ribs and... Brisket (which falls apart As you eat it? delicious!) and it?s nice they put the BBQ sauce on the table. Service was good andthey have a nice yard area for kids to run around. Read more

We had the Twin Tail Lobsters with corn on the cob and another side. This was THE best lobster we've had since we've been in New... England. The corn was hot, sweet and delicious. We found this lobster shack by accident but now plan to stop there again beforewe move on to our next location. We would highly recommend this eatery!!! Read more
