Love the ambience, the fire wood pizza was spot on. We also got their baked tater tots which were delicious. Our waitress was... really friendly and polite, gave us plenty of time to decide on what we wanted to order. The restaurant?s interior is verydifferent but clean and creative, which I loved! Overall I would love to visit this place again when I come back to TC! Read more

This place is awesome! The food is great and the staff are super friendly. I had the burger and it was one of the best I've had.... Totally recommend it They have really good cider as well and the price is reasonable. My only regret is that I didn't go backfor a second meal while I was in Traverse City but you can bet I'll be stopping by next time I'm there. Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our Taproot experience. We were visitors from Ann Arbor Michigan and Tennessee, and Taproot in Traverse... City did not disappoint. The food quality was impressive (many dishes included local/organic ingredients), the chairs were SOcomfortable, and the service was delightful. We all loved the pizza ? best pizza of the entire trip. Hummus, tacos and ciderswere also delicious. We would go back to Taproot in a heartbeat! Read more

My friend and I went to tap root last evening. We had a lovely table outside on a perfect night. We ordered the peas and carrots... appetizer with a satay dipping sauce that was so yummy. Then my friend got one of the tacos and I got one of the pizzas andthose were both delicious as well. Our server was pleasant and prompt. They seem to have their act together in terms of staffingand management. I am so glad to have a wonderful restaurant with great ambiance that doesn't break the bank. I will definitelygo there again. Very good! We've been meaning to try this place out for quite some time now and finally got around to it. The service was a... little slow at first but once a different server (Dorian - so great!) came over, it was wonderful. We got the tachos (totnachos) and two types of pizza. It was all delicious! We will definitely be back. Read more

I grew up in Washington state, so I'm a bit of an apple enthusiast. I was very excited to find a cider house!!! I got a flight... of 6 ciders in all, and I think the Queen Ann is my favorite so far. The waitress made several cider suggestions, and I can'tsay any of them were bad. My husband and I a got the hummus with kale and garbanzos on top for an appetizer, and despite thefact that my husband is fairly anti-kale he really liked it as well. If I were to change one thing I would have loved to seesome carrot sticks, cucumber spears, or more nan. We ran out of stuff to dip into the very generous portion of hummus! For ourmeals I ordered the smoked trout Cesar salad and it was DELICIOUS!!! Grilled romaine? Genius! Potato chips on a salad? Heckyeah!! I'm the type of person that normally needs more than just a salad for a meal, but this salad was meal worthy. I did notleave hungry. My husband got the pepperoni pizza and added mushrooms. The mushrooms may not be the typical slices some expect, but they were so fresh and full of flavor! I'll admit I stole a few mushrooms from my husband's pizza, and went back for more. Iwould have loved putting those sauteed mushrooms as an option for my salad too.... maybe an option to consider in thefuture. Beyond the great food and drinks, my husband and I were in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening, so it may not havebeen as busy as it can get on the weekends. The service was very good and our water glasses were kept full. I didn't catch thewaitress' name, but she was very sweet and seemed organized and prompt even while training a new waiter. I saw many other thingson the menu that I can't wait to come back and try! Hopefully they will eventually get some apple desserts on the menu too...Perhaps apple crisp or a lavender creme brulee. Highly recommended!! Read more

I had one of their own ciders and some tacos. I was quite impressed with the quality of food and the service. Our server was... very helpful and the food was served quickly, even though the restaurant was filled with customers on a Saturday afternoon. TheMadagascar Vanilla Bean Bourbon Aged Cider was smooth for a 12% cider. It was served in 10 ounce sifter. The tacos were alsotasty. I had one of each taco (3) on the menu. I found the Roasted Cauliflower and Mushroom tacos to have the most flavor, alittle spice, but it was by no means overbearing. The Al Pastor was also good and had a mild flavor pulled pork. The chickentinga taco was tasty, and I wanted more of that delicious Avocado sauce. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Read more

Fun cider tasting! We had so much fun picking different ciders and comparing them side by side. Each tasting is a 3oz pour and... you can do as many or as little as you want. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend this. Read more
