My family tried this fish and chips restaurant after two coworkers raved about the quality of the fish. They were correct- the... whitefish was excellent. The chowder was very tasty, and a generous portion for the large size. I was a little less impressedwith the staying power of the food for takeout, as it got cold/soggy very fast (quite cold by the time we drove home to eat it),so my only suggestion is to make sure you eat any takeout food quickly! Great fish in Traverse City! Fresh whitefish, walleye, lake perch, or chicken for the land lubbers. The whitefish chowder is... fabulous. Fish is deep fried in a light batter, great tartar sauce, nice french fries, and hush puppies. They also offer fishbroiled, and salads. Nautical themed with old fishing gear and outboard motors. Very friendly staff. It's a "must stop" if youvisit downtown. Free parking in the ramp (they will validate your ticket). Read more

Fish done right. The menu has so many great choices and they all taste great. A must visit when visiting. We enjoyed every bite... and wish we could have come back for more but on this trip we were just driving through. Will definitely visit again. Read more

Super friendly service. Atmosphere is very "up north" and fun. I'm just going to say this......skip the whitefish.... walleye... #1.... perch #2... Chowder in a bread bowl was great....ok it was whitefish chowder but in that form it's great. Friedwhitefish is waaaaaay over rated...fishy bottom feeder....just get the walleye perch combo you'll love it Read more

Very good Perch and Walleye, either fried or grilled for a healthier option. Both the grilled Walleye and the fried Perch were... perfectly cooked and very fresh tasting. Fries were very good, the hushpuppies a little too dense (need to add some wheat flourand more baking soda) and the coleslaw is overdressed. I like a little more cabbage with my mayo. Very friendly front of house.Very unique Fishcamp interrior decorations and theme. Lots to look at after your meal, old engines, oars, fish guides, fishingpoles, stuffed fish, etc. Read more

I enjoyed this restaurant so much that in my one week in the area I ate here twice. Whitefish chowder and asiago asparagus soups... were excellent. Walleye and perch were cooked perfectly. The young chef definitely knows how to do it right. Prices are a littlehigh, but the quality is there. Enjoy! Read more
