The açaí bowls, absolutely amazing (though took 15min) I will be returning! I do have a few concerns. One young lady eating,... she had gloves, but she wiped her nose, then proceeded to work, gross. Another girl on her phone with her gloves on, thenstarted to cut up fruit after touching her phone, again gross. I believe that they needs hair nets, as few of the staff memberskept trying to push their hair back, with gloves on, then continued to work. I know it?s new, & things will get better as thestore continues to adjust. Considering how young the girls are, (That is not an issue) but they should leave their phones in theback as they were on them. One girl kept changing the music while working. Lastly, they took quite a long time because they kepttalking and not working.. My point is, more training with customer service, timely manner, and sanitation. I really hope thishelps. See u next time! Read more

Nice spot, fresh clean feel inside. Not much for seating but it's cozy. They do not have Poke bowls at this location, was the... main reason we came. Our order took over 20 mins for a bowl, smoothie and a juice. Seems excessive on the time, all made freshI get it but ummm dang. Product was ok. Juice was not our thing, out of kale so substituted spinach, lawn clippings bestthing i can describe it as. Pumpkin Pie smoothie was ok. I was worried the pumpkin would be too strong but really it lackedany real flavor. Hints of pumpkin at best. The Coco bowl was really good. Coconut was fresh and granola on top was a nicetouch. Very good if you like Coconut. 27.61 for the bowl, small juice and large smoothie, with the 15% discount for signing upto their marketing program. Not my cup of tea. Read more

I was very disappointed in my first experience with Playa Bowls. I have visited many places in Michigan that serve Acai bowls. ... The acai was extremely sweet. Presentation was sloppy. Half the fruit of other bowls I have had. But the service was evenmore disappointing. I was asked if I wanted to sign up for rewards. I said sure. The tablet was not charged so the owner wasasked what to do. The owner asked if I had rewards when I said no she just walked away. What happened to signing me up? There were at least 5 staff members besides the owner hanging around and not one interacted with me. There were no othercustomers being waited on. I was taking my food to go and was not asked if I was eating in or taking to go. I was not given alid. Other places if I am taking to go I get a lid, spoon and napkins. If they want to stay in business they will need towork on customer service. I know it is a chain so not sure they can change the sweetness but presentation can be worked on. May check back in 6 months but not right away. Read more
