Love their prime rib. It's what prime rib should be. As good as that restaurant on Long Lake, for a lot less. The only... difference is here they serve mashed potatoes & that other restaurant serves a baked potato. But there's many other tastyentreés to try. Cocktails are also reasonably priced. Service is excellent. And they have homemade bread that's warm out of theoven. The brownie sundae is huge & yummy! Their decor is a little tired, but everything else about the experience is awesome! They take reservations and we had a lovely meal here. The whitefish dip was very tasty and whitefish entrees were cooked to... perfection. The prime rib was also a hit. The atmosphere is cool too, lots of wall art to look at and buy if interested. Will beback for the yummy food if I?m in the area next time. Read more

Had an early dinner there before Sheryl Crow on Saturday. Our first time here, we sat outside on the deck (they do have two... small decks for outdoor seating in total can probably sit 4 tables of 4). The food was fantastic. Started with the whitefish dipand escargot. We each ordered something different: cherry bbq ribs and walleye rockefeller were delicious. Cute little place, nice bar area, would definitely go back. FANTASTIC FOOD DRINK & SERVICE. We had our 1 year anniversary dinner on our first visit to Old Mission Tavern. Our server, Meg,... was an absolute gem. She suggested the perfect wine pairing for my meal. The escargot was perfectly prepared and unbelievablydelectable, the crabcakes were moist and the sauce was delicious, the foccassia was aromatic and unmatched. I got the tortelliniwith shrimp (per server suggestion) and the Alfredo sauce... OH MY GOSH.. THE ALFREDO!!!! I have never had Alfredo sauce thatperfectly creamy, smooth, and flavorful in my entire life. Absolute chefs kiss. My husband had the prime rib which he says hadamazing seasoning and flavor, cooked perfectly, and a hefty portion size. The mashed potatoes that came as his side were trulyhomemade style and felt like heaven. The entire restaurant is also an art gallery. So, as you eat artfully crafted food, youare surrounded by beautiful locally created art. We love this place and will return at the earliest opportunity. Read more

Stopped in for a post-snowshoe snack. Both the Chicken and Beef Noodle Soups were out of this world good. Artichoke dip to die... for and the Key Lime Pie off the charts! Our waitress Lily was super friendly, helpful and nice. Will definitely be back for amain course entree. The dinner menu was over the top - not what you?d expect for a place so far north on the peninsula. Superreasonable prices to top it off! Definitely worth the trip! Read more
