Looking for a good steak in traverse and we saw this place that was rated very highly. The sign was missing letters so the... building just said bum steer. Walking in, I was not expecting it to look so outdated. The restaurant had a faint smell of oldcigarettes and was very cramped. I ordered the peppercorn skillet which was a sirloin with pepper on top. The steak was veryblend except for the top which made me feel like I was choking on pepper. The wedge salad is literally just a slab of iceberglettuce drenched in dressing. The Texas toast was a piece of stale bread. The food was not good at all. Our waitress was reallynice though Read more

I was in town for a conference and decided to check this place out. It seemed like it would be okay. I read some of the other... reviews and thought, why not give it a try. I tried it and was not impressed. I paid $36 for the shrimp dinner and it was morethan double the price of what I should have paid. I would have expected a much better meal with bigger portions for the price.Needless to say, I was highly disappointed and would probably never go back. They don't even have veggies. But at least thewaitstaff was nice. Read more
This restaurant has a great old time steakhouse ambiance and coziness that was irresistible. I sat at the bar as the tables... were already full at 4:30 PM on October 11th. The bartenders were friendly and very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I had the blue cheese wedge salad and prime rib - it was one of the best rib's I've ever had and rivals the top steakhouses inmy home state of Oklahoma. I was in town to play Arcadia Bluff's golf courses. Highly recommend this restaurant as one of thebest in Traverse City. Read more
