In Traverse City and checked out Mackinaw Brewing Company. A nice Brew Pub option in the city. Decent beer menu and Pub food.... Very Nice service at the bar. Tried the Bangers and sauerkraut which was very tasty. Very friendly and not too full or noisy ona Thursday evening during the summer. Nice Brew Pub to try if you are in Traverse City. Came here and sat on the patio. There are only 4 tables on the back patio, so come early if you want those seats. The server was... really nice and quick/accommodating. I ordered the burger and it was cooked properly, flavorful, and large portion with fries.My wife had a salad and my son had pasta. They did not like there?s as much as I liked the burger. We are having the best time here! First time in Traverse City and we are so glad we came here. The bartender Cathy is the woman... to see, hilarious and knows everything about the beers, food, and locale. The reuban and beef brisket sandwiches are a must!!!Every meat is smoked in house too. Went to this place for special occasion with my family (2kids). The restaurant was kind to accommodate us and gave cozy... place. When I looked the menu, I loved the beer choices, I started with a peninsula pale ale and my wife with the lager... Weloved it. The lager was light and refreshing while peninsula pale ale was smooth n tasty. My Second beer was East Bay IPA....Right at first sip I fell in love with this beer. Alas, they don't sell six pack of their classic beers. But this makes me cometo this place to have a nice beer and enjoy the snacks. Good casual spot with great food! Every time I come here I have a hard time not ordering the Havarti Dill Cheese Sticks and...... (wait for it) the French onion soup! I?m not an extremely crazy soup person, but their French onion soup is truly unique,hearty, filling, and delicious. It definitely stands out! I?ve also had burgers here that were also amazing. The food here is delicious and cooked perfectly! We all got different entree?s and appetizers and each one was great. We... especially loved the bbq sampler. The brisket is to die for! I had onion soup and a rib eye steak. My steak was cookedperfectly, and the onion soup was very good. Even the fries were perfection! We also tried the Mac & cheese which was verygood. I want to go back for lunch and get a burger or a reuben! The atmosphere and service were good. None of us drank anybeer so can?t shed any light there. The reason for 4 stars is only because the entrees were delivered almost right on top ofour soup/salads and it made it difficult to enjoy everything.
