Reviews for Frenchies Famous in Traverse City, MI
Delicious, homemade food. Window bench seats, fresh chopped garlic in the potatoes, fresh squeezed orange juice, home made... bread, biscuits with delicious raspberry jam. We had about a 20 minute wait, but it was worth it. I highly recommend you trybreakfast at this hidden gem in Traverse City. Read more
One of the best breakfasts and coffee I've had in a while. The chorizo omelet was awesome and mocha coffee tasted delicious.... Definitely recommend this to anyone. Great little place away from the noise but packs a great menu Read more
Idk how the food was because we never got that far. We were abruptly directed out of the indoor space to wait outside (we just... had a few questions and wanted to read the specials list). As we waited outside we began to wonder how much quicker it might beto order food to go, but when my husband approached the order window, we were rudely told ?You?re Still Waiting?, by the owner?.Um. We knew we were still waiting. We had a question and were not being anywhere close to rude when approaching the order windowto ask about speed of service for to go items - yet the owner was not very hospitable and quite uppity in her response. Not agreat way to earn business. We went to a lovely diner with friendly staff and great service. I?d recommend J & S Hamburg shopover this establishment if you want kind hearted people serving you a decent breakfast. Maybe the food was great here atFrenchies but I?m not really ever in the mood for rude customer service, especially from the owner. We lost our appetite here. Read more
Great place, breakfast was delicious. They also have a nice sense of humor which is an essential element of the experience. 5/5!
This is a really unique spot that is definitely worth checking out. Mark, the server was super kind and gracious. I loved that... when I walked in to the 4 table restaurant, I was kindly told to please sit at the "dog" table. I had the mushroom omelet whichwas absolutely delicious. The chef's choice to use shallots in it really made it! Read more
Food was fantastic! Had the breakfast beans and husband had a pastrami sandwich on house-made bread. We took a chocolate chip... cookie with us that was divine with some coffee. Eating area is very small. Don?t be afraid to go to the takeout window! Read more
This may be the best scratch breakfast in Northern Michigan. The seating was outdoors only, 4 tables in the back patio/garden... area. This was glorious on a sunny fall day, but may be problematic in inclement weather. However there was a cute to-go windowfor dining elsewhere. While absolutely everything on this menu looked and sounded delicious, they make their own pastrami. Ifyou follow my reviews at all you know I am a pastrami/corned beef connoisseur. So as scrumptious as the monte cristo, chorizosausage and gravy and french toast all sounded, the pastrami hash on the special board was screaming my name. Alas it did notdisappoint, tender pulled pastrami, grilled seasoned russet potatoes, a piped red pepper sauce and 2 eggs over easy combined tomake a savory world class hash. The sourdough toast with the freshest raspberry jam was the coup de gras of this breakfast.Absolutely delightful! The french press coffee with real cream was a perfect pick-me-up. And my friend seemed to revel in hisfresh crepes places in a pool of amber Michigan made maple syrup. This is one of those meals that will stick with me for awhile. Service and ambiance were too notch as well. Ever since Golden Harvest closed in Lansing's Old Town neighborhood lastyear, I've been craving my scratch hash fix. Now I just need an excuse to drive 2.5hrs back up to TC to visit again. Highlyrecommend! Bring a few quarters for the parking meter too. Read more
