With chain restaurants and stores, I usually start at a 3 and work my way up or down. For this Cracker Barrel review, I ended... up staying at a 3, mainly because this seems to be a tale of two restaurants. The food is normally delicious, and the servingsare generous. But there seems to be a little inconsistency. A month ago, we had dinner here and the service was absolutelyawful. We didn't even get drinks at the table for 15 minutes after we were seated. We ordered our food and it didn't get to thetable for 45 minutes, but I didn't complain because there were people around us who were seated earlier than us, who were alsowaiting for their food, and they were a lot more upset than I was. They complained enough for our entire section of therestaurant. Finally, the managers came out and delivered all of the food for the server, who had obviously let the situation getaway from her. However, once the food got to the table, it was fresh, warm and delicious. It was well-seasoned and wellprepared. The managers were horrified that the server had let us hang there for so long, and they apologized. Yesterday, we atebreakfast at the Cracker Barrel and the service was amazing. Our server Zach gave us some of the best service we've ever had ata Traverse City restaurant. He was attentive and fast, and checked in on us numerous times. But when the food came out, it wasnot cooked as well as what most people have come to expect from a Cracker Barrel. Most noticeably, the hash brown casserole wasundercooked, it was cold and not tender. It's a little tricky right now with a lot of places... because of the labor shortage,I think it's difficult to keep the engine running smoothly. But I think the managers at the Cracker Barrel are trying their bestto get the entire team on the same page. Read more

Decided to eat out for thanksgiving day as the rest of our family will be coming in from out of state in the following days to... celebrate. And of course, I, and the four other adults, decided to order the turkey dinner. I?ll say if your taste buds are inworking condition, you like your food served hot, you like normal sized portions and you dislike dog food don?t eat here.Everything I just stated was the polar opposite regarding our food. Perhaps it?s the influx of elderly people, resulting in theschool lunch esque plating. But the food was terrible. And not worth even $5, none-the-less $15! And my family immediatelyrecognized this fact as well. Embarrassing! The manager did come to our table at one point, and I addressed this, she made zeroattempts to right the wrongs her eatery had provided to us-and through what I heard from idle chatter-many others alike. Willdefinitely not be going back to this establishment and will let my family, friends and peers to know to avoid this waste ofbuilding space as well. Our server Elizabeth was phenomenal however.. Love the gift shop in the front, lots unique items. Service is always fast and friendly. The food is good, a bit on the bland... side. If you're looking for flavor it's a no. I will say you never leave hungry, big portion and lots of sides. Their drinks aregross ????. Tried the amazing looking coffee with sky-high wipped cream and caramel topping. Beautiful drink but tastes likethey took cardboard and blended it with yoo-hoo. Fix the drinks and I wouldn't care about the bland food. Read more

We always enjoy eating here. The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable and we like to check out the store. I usually get... the boneless fried chicken breasts and my husband gets grandma's sampler breakfast. Yummy. Always friendly service. Read more

We were so excited to have spotted Cracker Barrel on our vacation because they are so rare in our area. I understand things have... changed since covid...I get that. I didn't expect the quality of food to change. The gravy for the biscuits had absolutely notaste...no taste whatsoever. The rest of our breakfast was...just there. The staff was very nice and caring. Have to behonest...not enough to make up for the qualify of food. We won't be back. Read more

I had not been to a Cracker Barrel in awhile. It was suggested by someone else, since she wanted it we stopped. Our waitress... was really friendly, made us feel at home. She was training, and honestly was great. Kept my refills going. If they hire peoplelike her for future positions, they'll be great! Plenty of food, I took food home, which is rare. With so many choices, we'regoing to have to consider them in the future when we're in town. Read more

This store has a lot of items to choose from and they are beautiful ideas for gifts to hand out for just about any holiday or... occasion. The food was not the best I?ve ever had at a Cracker Barrel. I think it could use help to be honest. My grandmotherseggs were cold, my scrambled eggs were a little runny which I do not care for in a scrambled egg and my country fried steak waspink on the inside which I?m not sure how that happens however that?s how it was served to me. The waitstaff was amazing.Waitress was wonderful- coffee was always hot and my family?s drinks were always full. Read more
