Reviews for Bahia in Traverse City, MI
Attention all foodies: nobody paid me to post this. The best food in Traverse City! Better than the Spanish Tapas that we had... in Spain! An explosion of flavor in each bite! Thoughtfully crafted flavor pairings, delicious cocktails and five star servicefrom our server Laura. We will certainly come back to TC just so we can dine here again. Read more
Great place for tapas style meal in Traverse City. Taste and presentation are great. Drinks are good, plus non alcoholic... options. One confusing thing is that we only got new side plates once, but not after we had the bravas which has a spicy sauceso then every shared item thereafter had said sauce which sort of detracted from it. Also, the food came out fast, like almosttoo fast. Most likely bc we came on a non-busy night (only 5 tables were full) so the kitchen was able to get to all our ordereditems super fast but almost felt rushed. Heard the other table next to us say the same thing to their waitress. We were in andout in less than 40 minutes. Read more
Great new place in town. The menu is eclectic and we found some great options. We had the cod with jalapeño slaw which was... magnificent. Also we tried the croquetas and Al pastor. All was great. Read more
Nothing like it in TC. Due to the server shortage we were waited on by one of the owners. We went with a group of friends and... ordered and ate what felt like everything a plate at a time. Strongly suggest their charcuterie board, Spanish crème brûléeand a sangria. The white wine, lemon, strawberry and basil sangria was refreshing. One of our dining companions had been toSpain and said the new flavors and dishes were spot on. Read more
I guess the new thing is the microgreens the food was very good, very tastefully done. The Grenache was delicious although the... Margaritas fell a little short. The tapas were beautiful and delicious. Read more
The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. Presentation was picture perfect. We had the Manchego, Pork belly... which was crisp on outside and melt in your mouth on the inside, Octopus was tender, and we finished it off with Bunelos whichare made fresh when you order and come out warm rolled in powder sugar and sitting in a bed of Carmel. I would definitelyrecommend Bahia. Read more
Welcome to Bahia home of Tapas and drinks. The female bartender makes amazing drinks, however she most likely does not know the... golden rule. Never over ice the first drink that comes out to the table. Most likely not her fault as this usually ismanagement. The food is amazing, the chef even came out and asked us how it tasted while looking for unsalted butter for hiskitchen. Just remember this is not a place to come eat dinner. This is a place to enjoy drinks and eat lots of tapas. Consider aTapa to be the latin sized sushi. You never feel completely full from eating lots of small plates of food. Yet at Bahia the foodwill be served on a large plate with a nice sized portion. Hours of operation? Considering staffing in town go on a Sunday. Theparking is free directly in front of the restaurant located on 127 S Union Street, Traverse City, Mi Last kitchen closed at 10pmand the bar only stays open based on patrons. We ate very light and averaged 30 per person with one cocktail each. Read more
It's about time TC had a tapas restaurant and this didn't disappoint. If you've never had tapas or are intimidated by the menu,... do not let that stop you. We had a party of four and had many of the tapas options and none disappointed. I highly recommend thegoat cheese with honey and the pork belly. We will definitely be back to try more options.
