It was my first time at this place and when my husband and I came in, we saw that everything looked clean and organized and the... place smelled pretty good. It was hard to place our order though, because the girl that took our order looked kind of nervousand very confused and on top of everything else she couldn't hear us and/or understand us well... because there was a loud noisein the back -I guess it was the sound of a guy slamming on the counter top whatever utensil he was using to cut the pieces ofchicken-, so it was very annoying and loud; so we couldn't hear each other very well and it was very frustrating!, when I askedthe girl if it was always like that (loud) she said yes! I told her (God bless you!) because she had to deal with that annoyingsound all the time. My husband ordered a chicken tostada and I ordered a combination meal of 2 pieces of chicken with a side ofrice and beans and it was supposed to come with a salsa too. Also she asked several times if we wanted corn or flour tortillaseven though we had already told her that we wanted corn everytime she asked@@ At the time we were there no one else was there,so they were not busy! I asked the girl if she put salsa in the box and she was still confused and wasn't sure, so I took aslight peek to the bag she gave us and it was hard to tell, so I assumed that she put it in there and then she basicallyconfirmed that she did; but unfortunately when we arrived at home I realized that she didn't #-( My husband told me that thechicken tostada was okay but not at all! like the chicken tostada he used to get in another place -he said that it needed somekind of moisture or that it was missing something but he couldn't tell exactly what is it that it was missing- My chicken had agood flavor but a little salty, plus the pieces were very small and not very meaty#( The rice was okay and the beans were good. Unfortunately my experience here was horrid. We had to wait 45 minutes for our order. ( and we weren't the only ones). When we... questioned them, they said they were pitting out single items first. We only had 3 items in our order. There was also a dadwith his two children who was ahead of us who did not have his order when we finally got ours. I don't ever like to leave anegative review however this was beyond poor service. Read more
This place has gone down hill more and more over the years. Today topped them all. Went in to order. Lady came up dropped a tray... on the counter. Then gave everyone food for 10 minutes then told me that tray was mine. I asked where the rest of my food was.She insisted it was all there. And it's not. But the big thing is the quality of food and tortilla has gone down hill like bad.Idk what happened. And y they dont care. Read more
Before you order make sure you ask how long it?s going to take to get your order. I stopped by on a Friday around 8pm and... ordered a 12 piece family piece order. There were several online orders waiting to be fulfilled and raw chicken on the grillwaiting to be cooked. It took 30 minutes to get my order and this was not disclosed when I ordered my food. There was a guy wholeft the place to go eat somewhere else after waiting 30+ minutes waiting for his individual order to be cooked. I?m ok to waitfor my food if I?m informed before I order my food, not 15 minutes after waiting. What am I supposed to do then? Read more
I like el pollo loco because it's the only place that offers chicken that's not fried. But it's becoming like other places where... you get less food for more money. They have reduced the size of the sides and increased cost. The chicken is about the size of aCornish hen and is so small. The chicken is good so too bad you don't get a decent portion even when ordering a 4 piece. Wingsand legs are so small there's no meat. The sides are ok but the Mac was less so. It's stored so hot that the cheese started toseparate and the dish was overcooked. Read more
Not to be a Karen but I ordered a double chicken tostada which is supposed to come with a salad sauce, avacado, and get this... CHICKEN. Just broke this bad boy apart and I have no CHICKEN, avacado, salad sauce or rice anywhere. On another note I alsoasked for guac on the side, none of that anywhere either. There wasnt even any spoon of fork. That being said this is the firsttime this has happened to me at this place. Usually they do get my order right, and the workers are nice; but today im too saltyto eat lol.
