By far my favourite place in Townsend (thus far ????????) The staff is incredible, the ambiance of the restaurant is incredibly... laid back, the beer selection is vast and the food is phenomenal. I had the pulled pork and it was fabulous!!! The meat meltedin your mouth and the BBQ sauce was delectable!!! Also, they're expanding and the new addition is going to be magnificent!!! Ifthere's a better Pub/restaurant in Townsend, I have yet to discover it. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Read more

My husband and I road tripped to TN a few months ago. The Abbey was our favorite memory from the trip. They had great food,... beer/cider on tap, a cool seasonal music group, merch (which we bought plenty of) and a really, really unique and memorableatmosphere. Yes, it used to be a church; yes, it's now a bar, but still has fellowship vibes unlike any tavern or bar we'vevisited. Definitely check it out! Read more
We had a very pleasant relaxing evening in the patio with the river nearby and nice live music. The weather was was perfect so... obviously your results may vary. There is also inside space. I had pizza and the wife Greek salad. The food was fine - nothingto complain about at all, but ordinary. Thus 4 stars. Order at the counter and they bring the food out. It was crowded but thewas quick. But if the weather is good you will certainly like the patio dining by the river. Read more

By far the place to eat in the TN side of the Smokies. The Abbey at the Heartland Chapel is a treasure. Great selection of local... craft beer. Simple but delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere. Super nice employees. Loved seating in the patio, listening tolocal bands, and watching vacationers tube down the river. Read more
Great drinks and even better food! Not being from the area, I loved the selection of local beers and ciders on tap. There's got... to be something special in that BBQ sauce because the pot belly pizza and the handmade tenders dipped in it are????????????????.
