This was very good place. We got a variety of items: pizza, an Italian sandwhich, truffle fries, pretzel and some tacos. The... place was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good, but the star was the pork tacos. Really good. You have to gooutside to the back to order the tacos. I highly recommend it! The rest of the food was good. The pizza was different since theyused a sourdough, but it was a good different. I enjoyed it. Overall, good experience. I would go back again, especially forthose pork tacos. I recommend. Read more

This place was a great way to close out such a serene drive through the smokies in fall. We will most certainly be back here.... The sandwich was a bit dry but their yummy ranch helps. The cajon shrimp may have been the best item we tried and very wellbalanced. The pizza was bomb, the fries and beer cheese were quite tasty, pretzel was overcooked. The grapefruit radler hit thespot. Having a play area for the kids and outdoor seating for people out with their dogs is great Overall, I stronglyrecommend experiencing this place yourself We'll definitely be back, looking forward to checking out the tacos and margaritas. From the drinks to the meals; Peaceful Side Social is a pleasant experience. Easy to order, waited about 15 min for food, lot of... fun for the younger crowd especially if you need the kids to be occupied on a jungle gym. Amazing food and a great vibe. I had the smoked trout sandwich, it was hands down one of the best sandwiches I?ve ever had. The... margaritas are made from scratch. They make their own mixes which is awesome! The blackberry marg was not too sweet and wasgarnished with fresh blackberries, 10 out of 10. The brownies are also made from scratch, so good, and they have gluten freeoptions too. They accommodate dogs and have a cute kids play area. The service is fantastic, they switched out a sandwich for uswith zero issue. This restaurant checks every box, outstanding experience. I will absolutely return. Read more

I?ve been wanting to stop at this restaurant for months now, and I finally got the chance to visit! We thought the atmosphere... and dining spaces were well thought out and visually appealing. My daughter loved playing on the play set while we waiting forour food, and I appreciated the technology they used for finding our table. The food was a nice blend of healthy andnourishing. My daughter ordered the pretzel, and I got the smoked trout sandwich. I used her beer cheese to dip my chips in,which was delicious! Next time we will try tacos from the Taco Bar. If you're thinking of going here, stop overthinking. Just go. Great location. Excellent beer selection, all hosted for now from... area breweries except for a couple German beers. Fantastic food. Kathy & I stopped in for a quick bite & a beer while visiting Townsend and the Great Smoky Mountains and almost never left as we... returned pretty much every day. Great food, excellent beer, nice atmosphere and wonderful people...is there more you can askfor? Allow me to reiterate...the food is fabulous! Truly artistic creation of flavors presented in a down-to-earth fashion. Ican personally recommend the truffle fries, goat cheese fritters & smoked trout dip for appetizers, the Pulled Chicken & Baconor the Smoked Trout & Avocado sandwiches and the Margherita Pizza. The Pear & Fig Pizza was also nice but an acquired taste andperhaps a bit sweet for lunch. Then, of course, there's the beer...very nice! I like a Stout or Lager over an IPA but there areno wrong answers on that exam. Wine, tea, and water are also available. Great people, great place. We'll see you there. Read more

From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like friends. John took the time to greet us and explain the menu. The... facility itself is super clean including the restrooms. Every employee we spoke to was friendly and accommodating. The fig andpear round was phenomenal. The Italian hoagie was tasty. The Salad was fresh and well crafted. The smoked trout is a can?t missso long as you like avocados. If you?re in the area, stop by. This is another hit from the folks who brought you Dancing BearAppalachian Bistro and Apple Valley Cafe. After years of coming to Townsend and being disappointed by overpriced andunappetizing fare, the food scene is definitely being shaped by quality food and impeccable service. Read more
