We were headed to Townsend for a Sunday cruise and decided to stop in and have brunch. When we first pulled up the atmosphere... and energy was excellent! Once inside the ambiance was very pleasant and inviting. We sat down and Zoe was our waitress. She wasvery attentive with my boys, she even made their day by making them some hot chocolate. Brunch was buffet style consisting ofShrimp and Grits, Potatoes and sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, salmon, fried chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy.It was an awesome brunch! One of the best dining experiences I’ve had to date. Everything was absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was... locally sourced and super fresh. We loved hearing about which dishes of our meal were picked fresh from the garden on site!Atmosphere was dreamy and it was awesome to eat outside. 10/10, DELICIOUS, and GREAT SERVICE!! We called to see if we could be accommodated that night and they were able to get us in... immediately despite being a busy Saturday night with an event. Dan “in black” was a wonderful server and his humor made itall the better. It was expensive, but the food and drinks are high quality and fresh!! I am a very picky vegetarian so I wishthere was a vegan appetizer option (instead of a cheese board) and 2 main vegetarian/vegan entree options to choose from insteadof just one. This was by far the best culinary experience we’ve had. The food was mind blowing it was so delicious. The staff was kind,... helpful and we never felt like we were out of place. What an amazing experience. The Appalachian Bistro was suggested by the local chamber and, I have to say, it is one of the best... dining experience we have ever had. The food, ambiance and service are amazing! You arrive at the restaurant via a dim lituphill road that might seem scary to the novice but it just sets the atmosfere.
