I have been coming to Yorkshire Square off and on for four years. This is the only spot around the area regularly serving proper... English cask ales. The dark mild and pub bitter are consistently top quality. They have the best fish and chips I've had inCalifornia as well. While other nearby breweries get the hype, this is the spot to visit for classic styles hardly anyone elseserves. Read more

A proper British style pub with proper British style brews; I tasted four in a flight, and they were all solid ales. My only... gripe is that the kitchen wasn't open when I got there, so had to go somewhere else to eat, and thus I wasn't able to try theirproper British style pub food. Came here with my family to enjoy a nice dinner. We got a seat outside on a bench. I loved the fish and chips. The fish was very... crispy and the chips had a good crunch. The beer selection was good, there were a lot of variety and they tasted well. It took abit of a wait but they way more than accommodated us and made sure we left happy and full. The sliders hit heavy too so you'llbe full. Can't wait to try a scotch egg next time. Read more
