As I?m sitting here eating I had to pause to write my review. This is my 3rd here, I drove from Moreno Valley for a day of... shopping but when it was time to eat this is the first place came to mind. Excellent customer service, extraordinary food andsavoring drinks OMG.. I?m from Louisiana so I never had authentic Mexican food. And this place by far is giving me everythingthat I never had. On top of everything you get exactly what you pay for. The prices meets the content of food that?s on yourplate. This will always be the Mexican Restaurant I spend my money at anytime I?m this was way of Cali.. Ooh and yes the placeis very very clean?? Read more

If you have a craving for some hole in the wall style authentic food without compromising quality then you've come to the right... place. Being a regular here simply comes from living local and not wanting to deal with the hustle and bustle of the outsideworld. I'll be honest I love the convenience of easy accessible parking anytime we visit since old torrance is not a busyplace. The ease of parking for those of us with ada accommodations truly make a huge impact on how the rest of your endeavorsmay lead. With that being said I do love how accomodating they are with meeting my specific requests. First impressions cantruly make or break your experience and although we are regulars I'll admit customer service falls very short. I understand theycould just be overwhelmed and overworked despite the place never being busy at any chance we happen to visit but personality islacking. I do have my favorite server who recognizes me and pretty much knows mine and my partners order. But when we are notseated in her section we don't leave with the same happy experience each time. My go to is definitely the purple Cadillacmargarita which packs a nice flavor of citrus and boozy punch . I love the perfect combination the Chambord adds to themargarita creating a well balanced raspberry taste. I will be honest consistency with quality of food, flavor and presentationalso lacks. Some days the complimentary salsa is jam packed with flavor and mild heat and other times it's chuncky bland andflavorless. Likewise with the rest of my food. Although 9 times out of 10 my food is delicious it always tastes different eventhough I order the exact same thing each week. I'm personally not too fond of cheese and ask for no cheese yet this place lovesto pile cheese on any and everything. I do eat my food but usually find myself removing the extra layers of cheese. I do lovehow this place maintains the classic hole in the wall flare and food I just wish there was more consistency an Read more

Horrible Food!!!!! The waiter was the worse I had ever experienced. I've been going here for over 40 years and this was my... first time returning after thr pandemic. Omg, I ordered a shrimp Tortilla salad and asked for no rice or beans and sour cream. They literally boiled some shrimp with no seasoning and three some very thin sliced bell peppers and stacked alot of lettuce andthat rugged cut cheese in a fried tortilla.. ... it was horrrrrrrrrrible! I told waiter I was not happy with this plate at alland then ordered something else. The waiter had very poor customer service skills. ALSO. the salsa is not the same as it used tobe, just horrible. We ordered Guacamole and it was so tasteless!!!!!!!! It was as though they mashed Avocados ans said there yougo!!!!!!! We asked for a particular alcoholic drink and they didn't have all the ingredients. Who has a bar and is not fullystocked? The margaritas ordered were mediocre!!!!!! I totally did not want to tip him but left him a tip anyway becauseeveryone is struggling to get through. Anyway, I will NEVER EVER EVER returned to this place again. Their food tastes likethey're going OUT OF BUSINESS ANY DAY!!!! WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF THEYRE OUT OF BUSINESS BY TOMORROW!!!! Read more

Local restaurant in Torrance California. This restaurant has been around since the 1960's. The portions are large and the food... is great. Great chips and salsa and I like the fact they bring each patron with one bowl of salsa and chips for the table. Read more

Ate here for the first time today with my wife. The food & margaritas???? were great! Our server was amazing. She was very... customer service oriented. She was attentive, friendly, and provided us with exceptional service. If you're ever in the Torrancearea, I highly recommend you to consider visiting La Capilla Mexican Restaurant. Read more

This restaurant makes you come back for more. Save your pennies because the prices have gone up a little but the food is still... enjoyable. Our server was so sweet and she didn't miss a beat tending to our requests. I have to say that she was on her jobbecause I took a friend who is very hard to please and not only did he have a good time, he loved that wet burrito he ordered! The ambiance is welcoming. It feels like you've been invited to a good friend's house for dinner. Very well done. I like takingfriends to places are like LA Capilla because they always go back taking others. Take someone you enjoy and have a good time! Read more

Food is just ok. I had their chicken mole with rice, beans and salad and yons of sour cream. Mole was too watered down and... didn't taste like anything, there was not enough chicken and the entire plate was mainly beans and rice, also salad- there washardly any just a glob of sour cream for low low price of 18. Nor worth it. Chips were good but salsa could be better. Read more

We ate outside. It was fine, but it was a temporary setup for COVID so it was in the street. There was a tent that covered the... street side, so that was nice. We still has pretty good service, and a waitstaff came by every so often. The carnitas burritohad nothing in it except meat. (No rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, anything.) The carnitas itself tasted great, and was verytender. But I wouldn't say it's really a burrito if the only ingredients are meat and tortilla. But if you're a meat lover, this"burrito" is for you. And it was still tasty the next day (it was way too much to eat in one sitting). The tacos (I can'tremember which meat I got) were nothing to write home about. The hard shell broke in half upon first bite, and it was easier tojust eat it with a fork. The cheese and lettuce spilled out (I couldn't even see where one taco ended and the other began) andit was not a handheld food by any nature. Mediocre and certainly not legit Mexican tacos. The beans in the combo that I orderedwere good. But let's talk about the rice. It was honestly the worst Spanish rice I have ever eaten in my life. It did notremotely taste like tomato - it actually tasted like plastic a bit. The rice was soggy. There was no flavor. I didn't think Iwas picky with my Spanish rice. I would've been happier with just plain white rice. I've made better Spanish rice at home. Fastfood Spanish rice is leagues better. Do not order this rice. I don't know if they add the rice to other dishes, but it probablyruins any dish it goes in. 0/10 The complimentary chips tasted more like store-bought chips to me. Too salty. The person I wentwith to La Capilla thought they were delicious because he loves salt. I think they were fresh, though. The salsa was good, nocomplaints. Essentially, if you want real Mexican food, don't come here. I was not satisfied with their food. The Halloweendecorations were really cute, though, and their service and food presentation was good.
