Reviews for Union Chicken in Toronto, ON
This restaurant is located besides the grand hall inside the Union station. It’s a bit difficult to find but if you ask the... security guards they will be happy to assist you. There are lots of indoor dining and easy to get a seat. The menu is full ofdrinks on one page and dinner on the other page. There are lots of chicken varieties you can choose from. I would recommendchoosing from handhelds as we would the fried chicken items too oily and hard to eat as there wasn’t “enough mix” ofdifferent items on a smaller scale. We felt like we were “hit” with fried chicken that made it unappetizing. Instead theycould have reduced the chicken and made an awesome dinner with Mac n cheese, fries and corn bread. The restaurant is interestingand worth visiting but don’t expect to satisfy your appetite. Read more
A bit confusing to find in Union Station but if you take the stairs down from the main floor with the grand ceiling, you should... be able to find it. Union Chicken is a nice sit down restaurant with helpful staff. The menu is not very big but the focus ison fried chicken. We got the OG fried chicken burger, a black pepper poutine side, and a coke to share. The fried chicken wasnice and crispy but juicy on the inside and the poutine had a decent amount of curds. It was relatively quiet during Sundaylunch time and the music wasn’t too long so that we could have a conversation. There is a good amount of seating in therestaurant and it is accessible. Read more
Had a great time here with my family on Canada Day. Got in just before a mad rush after a Blue Jays game. The staff are clearly... used to this every game, because they handled it so well and pushed food and drink orders out very quickly. They definitelyspecialize in getting people their orders so they can catch their train! Although not a typical spot for kids, there are plentyof options for even the pickiest eaters, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating with my two toddlers. Food wasexcellent all around. The fried chicken was fantastic, perfectly crispy outside and tender/juicy inside. It's all boneless andcomes with a few dipping sauce options (Black pepper gravy, maple honey, and hot sauce). Highly recommend if you find yourselfnear Union Station! Read more
First time going to Union Chicken. Nice ambiance. The service was quite prompt (we were there after a Saturday afternoon Blue... Jays game). Since it was our first time we decided to have the Ultimate chicken platter, so we could try everything - wings, fried chicken and rotisserie. It says the platter should serve 2-3. My feeling was more like 3-4. We never touched therotisserie - it will be dinner tomorrow. The chicken was nicely fried - nice crispy wings, moist boneless chicken thigh pieces, but I felt like it needed seasoning (SALT). Everything seemed short on salt - and I am not one for salty food. I just couldn'ttaste it. I was also not in the mood to make a fuss, so I didn't bring it up to the server. For that reason will have to give itanother try..... Read more

Unfortunately there wasn't enough variety in ourorders and hence all the dishes tasted the same. Might need to do a better job at ordering next time. The waiter was verypatient. Read more
A nice, small restaurant within union station, close to Go train platforms. They have a southern/western feel to the place which... alludes to their style of cooking. The meals we ordered were prepared ery quickly (approx. 7 min). The food was delicious andsomewhat healthy (depending what you get). The waiter was so kind and welcoming. If you're looking for a little taste ofsouthern cooking this is the place to to to. Read more
Have returned. Consistently delivers crunchy, juicy, flavoursome fried chicken. Consistency is what 99% of restaurants fail in.... Ever bring a friend and it just wasn't the same? Not here. Decent portions - their hot/spicy is actually decently hot. I'drecommend if you have a taste for spicy. Read more
This place is inside the Union Station, on the PATH. You can ask anyone for the Union Station food court and this place a floor... above. We tried their OG Fried chicken 5/5, Quater leg piece with salad as sides 4/5, Triple cooked fries 4/5 and Cheese cake -5/5. Prompt response, good vibes, will visit again. Read more
