Reviews for Tim Hortons in Toronto, ON
I have been working at this location last month. I had an interview with the manager, GeeAnn, Ghiann, Gi Ann, or something like... that. I did not have a resume since, being in a bit of a difficult moment, I needed some quick job and decided to try the foodindustry, after achieving my FH certificate, therefore I had no relevant experience. The manager at the interview seemedsurprised and discouraged me from doing it saying by her belief, I did not seem a fit for food jobs. I have been asked for thelist of my past employments and all my employment related info, which I provided and she insisted that she was not sure I coulddo it. But i am invited to start, which I do, appointment at 8am, was there at 7.50. Been thrown in the work and the trainingconsisted in "hey look and do the same". Not easy to me because I do not drink that coffee I have been in Tim Hortons maybetwice in 10 years but I think is no rocket science. Nonetheless I get to 1.30ish pm, I think I made 50-100 orders by then nostop, and I ask a collegue when our break is given, she replies that the manager decides who and when goes to break but, if idecide to stay the "extra hour" for the cleaning, I would be given an extra 15 minutes break. Maybe naively I ask if the extrahour is paid just with the extra break or it is actually paid, been told "do not know". Then I am called by the manager thatsays "go to break, when you are back we talk". I took 22 minutes break instead of 30 and when I was back she let me go sayingshe needed people with experience (?!?!?!) which as per interview I didn't hide I had not. One month later, they did not payme. I called in and when I asked to be paid, they decided to hang the phone on me. I called back, line is mute. I sent a text, rejected. Now I am writing it here, if you are a customer, please remind the manager to pay her employees in general butspecifically me since, by law, I cannot waive my wages. Thanks Read more

Their coffee is good and reasonably priced. Their pastries are equally delicious. The staff is corteous, nice, and fast. Being... indoors means even in cold Canadia weather getting there is not a pain. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a snack on thego or caffeine without having to wait too long. Read more
