Service was friendly, honest and timely. The staff there enjoy good conversation and chill banter which is nice especially when... you're alone at the bar. The menu is quite short but kept to some bar basics and favourites. On my visit, I ordered the steakand chips. Simple as the dish is, which made it an easy choice. The steak itself was juicy and smothered in mushrooms andsauteed onions. The chips were lightly salted which complimented the dish well. Food has a very big portion. Ordered a burger, not very impressed. The cocktail was alright. The beers were good.
Great pub, the Steak and Ale Pie is SOOOO good! AWESOME FOOD. If you wanna have a pie go for this one, it?s delicious! Even... better than the Sheperd?s pie which is also really good. IT?S FUUUURKIN GOOD. Read more
This deserves a 4.5. So the Sheppard pie was amazing and the salad was fresh. Both persons that had the bangers and mash said it... was just ok..they were not a fan of the sausages. The nachos were so overbaked they were stuck to the parchment paper so went towaste. Overall I would go again just for that awesome Sheppards pie. Read more
I've been here a few times and the firkin burger is one of my favourite burgers... only once they disappointed me when we had a... company function on a weekday evening and our food was cold and tasteless (under staffed despite week advance notice)...otherwise it's been very good. They have daily specials so value is better on those days of your favourite dish is served.
