Reviews for The Big Chill in Toronto, ON
Amazing ice cream place with warm waffle cones!! Highly recommended if you are around the area, they have the best ice... creams! However, HYGIENE! One thing I want to point out is, perhaps if the business owner sees this review, please takenecessary action. The employees are not using gloves at all after touching the waffle cones and taking cash for the samecustomer?I didn?t even eat the waffle cone because of that. Read more
The Big Chill has friendly & fast service, amazing variety, fresh waffle cones, and delicious ice cream! I highly recommend... Ferro Rocher, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Funky Chunky Chocolate! You can even get a little Vanilla ice creamfor your fur baby! ???? Two stars were dedicated because I specifically asked the girl to make me a fresh waffle cone(literally the reason I went was because I heard they were made-to-order) and she flat out said no. I was impressed at the quality of ice cream and the vibe of the location. It was a bunch of young workers, but they were great... with their service so shout out to the group of workers from Friday night dealing with a late night rush. Waffle was hot freshand fluffy and I thoroughly enjoyed the pretzel and peanut butter scoop on a waffle cone. Also the little Oreo cookie on everycone is a great touch. Read more
That?s my favorite dessert place. I?ve been visiting this ice cream parlour since winter and it has been always surprising me... with various flavours. I?ve had the chocolate chip mint, Nutella , the big kid, lemon and banana flavour here and it has beenrefreshing. The quality quantity of the waffle is equal to dinner lunch or any meal. Thé pricing is reasonable for small tomedium scoop, double scoop. You can always ask for shakes, ice cream sandwiches and coolers here Their timings are updated andI have uploaded the updated timings here Their interiors are cute and reminds me of back 1990s amazing lightings. Came here on Good Friday with the family of 9 after lunch at restaurant down the street and it was definitely worth it! The kids... loved all the different flavours and ate every drop of ice cream, they even have frozen yogurt and vegan option. The lattes arefreshly made and are delicious (taste better compared to Starbucks to be honest)?the atmosphere reminds me of a old diner typeand is decorated with cow figurines everywhere? the young lady working (Katrina) was friendly and you can tell that she had abig smile under her mask as she was helping us pick our flavours and was very patient with us as we asked questions. She is whatevery restaurant/employer should look for in an employee. Definitely will be coming back and adding this spot as our traditioncontinues for coming here after the restaurant for Good Friday on Little Italy. Read more
I was very impressed with this place for how low key it seems. I loved the quirkiness of the ambience and made me feel so young!... Ice cream flavours are awesome and not too sweet. The Ferrero Rocher and Salted Caramel Ice Cream were so good. Highly recommendgetting the waffle and ice cream. Read more
Ice cream store on College street open till 11 pm. Not Good For Vegan !!! Great options for Dairy ice cream flavours and... freshly made wafer thin waffles. I chose the Dark Cherry on the waffle cone which was delicious, warm cone and chilled icecream. My daughter is Vegan and found only two options, Vanilla & Strawberry. Sadly the waffle cone is Non Vegan and she had toopt for a cup. The Strawberry ice cream was only Ice and Stale. Even all their toppings were Non Vegan?????? By the time we tookthe first bite and realised the restaurant was closing we rushed back, but the server didn?t open the door despite beinginside. Disappointing experience as regards to service and Vegan ice cream. I would appreciate if they are more honest in theirservice and Not sell Stale ice cream. I?m giving 3 stars for the dairy ice cream as it was good. But, when they can?t make orsell vegan food then they shouldn?t. Servers attitude was also not helpful. Read more
I walked in attracted by the colorful and nostalgic decor, but ended up somewhat disappointed by the ice cream. Their chocolate... ice cream tasted ok, just like any other grocery store bought ice cream (which is ok!), but I think I was expecting somethingmore like gelato. I would go back to try out their banana split because you can't get that at most places. I guess having feweroptions and focusing on different flavours would've been a more interesting choice, given the ambience and location. Read more
