Reviews for Thai Lime Restaurant in Toronto, ON
Coming here for take out for the past year. I prefer their pad Thai as it has good flavours and isn’t overly saucy. The... cashew chicken and mango salad is plentiful and solid. It’s a bit pricey but the pandemic is partly to blame. There are nofresh rolls so we got veggie spring rolls which are mediocre, but the sauce is typical. Would recommend this restaurant if Thaiis what you are craving. Read more
The food is always great! Their particular specialty is the Malaya curry with a side order of roti. It's rich, spicy,... flavourful, and hits the spot especially on a cold day. Read more
What a disappointment. I wanted to try a different restaurant and having seen the glowing reviews it seemed like a safe bet. I... now wish I had paid attention to the more critical lower ratings because, of the 5 dishes we ordered, only 3 of them were okalbeit not as good as I expected. I don't know what sort of orange chicken we got but it tasted and smelt like fish..and not ina pleasant way. The sticky coconut rice with mango dessert was a tasteless semi savoury gloopy mess with unripe pieces of mangomixed in. I thought about trying to salvage it with a can of sweetened condensed milk but I decided not to bother wastinganymore money on this food. Those 2 dishes went into the garbage where they belonged. Maybe we got the Skip delivery specialof scraped off leftovers from the kitchen? Either way, never again! Read more
Worst Thai restaurant in Canada. Ordered online. Picked up got home only to find the order was completely wrong. Called back to... explain to the guy there what happened which led to argument him telling me I was wrong and he made the right order.after herealized his mistake he said come back and get your right order. I picked up the order and when I got home opened the containerto be met with the smell of death. It smelled like dog food mixed with fish tank water and made me gag . I couldn't believehow the smell alone made me want to puke. I called back stating what I experienced the owner said he gets his chicken from Chinatown and sometimes the chicken smells bad. And I lf I didn't like it throw it in the garbage. So I did and was utterlydisappointed in the food the service and the lack of professionalism. Excellent spot for lunch. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family in the area. Can't go wrong with fresh... Thai options at 13.99 for appetizer and main combo. They had cp24 up, so we could catch up with current events. Nice as a date,we ordered mango salad and calamari as our appetizers and crispy beef and mussels as our mains, all to share. Service was slowto start as they were probably not expecting much for dine in due to the ongoing pandemic..we had to get our qr codes and settlein . They did not have the beverage I wanted ( again not stocked probably due to unpredictability of business these days).Server was very nice and well meaning , although at times awkwardly paced; it's a quiet understated joint, locally owned, withits expected [minor] oversights, not one where you'd find seasoned professionals artfully balancing several platters andgracefully weaving through crowds of eager diners. Again, awesome lunch spot with fresh healthy fun options at a great price.Expect a fun, quiet date or lunch break without being surrounded by an obnoxious crowd. #supportlocal Read more
Excellent food and friendly staff. The red curry was excellent, tons of fresh perfect veggies and delicious sauce. Everyone else... loved the pad Thai. (Sorry took a few bites before I took the photos). The staff were super friendly. They kind of aren’t themost attentive so we had to ask for things like the bill and take out containers, so they could improve there... but I stillhave 5 stars because they were super nice and we all had a great time. Will definitely go back for red curry when in the area. Read more
Tremendous, Fresh and Delicious - get there early to beat the lunch line Truly awesome - this was impressive Thai food. We... have been going to Thai Lime since it opened and have always been thrilled. We took a couple of years off and just returned -it is even better - the owner and chef really care about fresh ingredients and delicate preparation. Lovely - try the "thickcurry" and the spring rolls are the best I have had. This place is "out of the way" but really worthy of the trip across town. Read more
We decided to skip 3rd party apps and ordered directly on the website. There was an online special which we tried, and we... ordered our usual favourites: > Malaysian beef curry: i’m malay and from Singapore. this Malaysian curry is spot on! yumm. >Malay bread: we call this roti canai/ roti prata. These are a little too hard/stiff for my liking, but the flavour pairs wellwith the beef curry. > Crispy beef special: tasty, crispy and saucy. Very yum! > Stir Fried Glass Noodles: so good and chewy! Ialways look forward to this! Great pick up, always our go-to comfort restaurant for thai food. Read more
