Finally had the opportunity to visit this lovely restaurant. We ordered the sample menu, bison burger, and elk stew. Everything... was delicious and not overly seasoned which allowed the natural flavors to stand out. Normally with soups or stews, I have tobrace myself with saltiness but not the case with the elk stew...not salty at all - I could taste the natural flavors from theveggies and elk meat. As we didn't know what to order being first timers, the sample menu allowed us to try the three differentoptions of bannocks - regular, raisin, and fried. Bear claws with blueberry jam was delightful, as we're the salmon, and bisonsliders. Lastly, our server was super helpful and friendly! Read more

I am in love with their frybread! I've had frybread a lot and this was the best I've ever had, especially the frybread hotdog.... Now, nothing will ever match fresh off the fire bannock at a pow wow, so it's a little hard to compare but it was okay. Thesmoked char was delicious. The fresh berry juice was refreshing and perfect with bannock and jam. Our server was great and thedecor is wonderful. I will be back to have a proper dinner and give it the five star treatment :) Read more

Phenomenal food and friendly and fun staff. We ordered the Salmon burger and Bison burger and they were so delicious. The fry... bread buns were light and fluffy and the flavours were amazing. Got a cup of cedar tea and some bannok on the side that weredefinitely worth it. So highly recommend eating here for hearty and filling food for very fair prices! Read more

The bison burger in a bannock bun at Tea N Bannock in Leslieville (1294 Gerrard Street East) is worth a visit. A... three-dimensional teepee sign marks its entrance. There are many subtle details to observe in this small, unpretentiousrestaurant, such as their small grocery table, where you can get cedar tea. Tea N Bannock's menu is simple but unique, and itrevolves a lot around bannock, a native bread used in different forms: in single slices as a side dish to the Three Sisters'soup (corn, beans and squash), as buns for their excellent bison burger, or fried for their sweet bear paws. As a bonus, Inwinter, you can skate on the ice trail in Greenwood Park, two minutes from the restaurant on Greenwood Avenue. Read more
