Reviews for Tabule Middle Eastern Cuisine in Toronto, ON
Tabule has very tasty food at all their restaurants. This restaurant is located on Yonge St and fits the midtown vibe. Their... food literally takes you for a trip to the Middle East. I was seeing a few of my friends at this place. I highly recommend thesampler platter with hummus, labni and babaganuj. The food was served timely and didn't disappoint anyone except for me, in theend. I'm a big fan of skewers and trust in a chef's recommendation when it comes to certain dishes. I ordered the lahmeh (vealtenderloin) and the chef's recommendation was to cook it medium rare. I was very excited to try this but when the lahmeharrived, I noticed the meat was well done. I didn't really want to point it out then as the restaurant was closing soon. Itdidn't taste bad but I missed the (tender)loin. Overall, amazing staff and great food! Worth a shot. Watch out for therecommendations. Read more
Fast service despite the busy hours. Decor is authentic yet modern and the waitresses and staff were all friendly and efficient.... All the dishes we ordered were flavourful and perfectly cooked. The homemade pure pomegranate juice was refreshing and worth theprice. Read more
We ordered a variety of things starting from shrimp dishes, lamb, chicken but I don’t think I would recommend this. If... you’re someone who knows his food, you’ll know this place isn’t worth it. The only reason why I’m even giving an extrastar is because of this waiter who seemed to be new and really nice and kind. - Lamb was not cooked well. - Rice was verybland. - Both chicken and shrimp were cooked in a very dry way hence all the meat was very chewy. - Service was very very veryslow. Thanks to the guy who wasn’t even our assigned waiter but he helped to move us from our patio table to dine in table. Read more
I can't imagine how someone would have a negative experience at Tabule. The food is always fresh and the staff are all super... nice. When it comes to value for the money, I think their food is overpriced by around 10-15%. For example, Tawuk costs $21 andconsists of 2 chicken skewers. However, there's no way 11 pieces of chicken are equivalent to 2 skewers. Also, instead of somuch rice, they could reduce the amount of rice and add fresh veggies to balance out the meal. I also recommend the restaurantowner to add dark meat chicken thighs to the menu, because folks like me don't eat chicken breast. The mere fact that theyserve mennonite chicken is HUGE!!! Very few restaurants prioritize the quality of their ingredients to the point of goingthrough the trouble of procuring chicken from the mennonites - the best source of chicken, lamb, beef, etc. I have to admitthat the sampler platter for $21 is really good. That's what I'd go for on a hot summer day. I'm not sure if I'll be back atTabule anytime soon, for I have other favourite places in my neighbourhood, but it's a suitable destination for quality middleeastern food. Read more
Won't recommend ordering online. I ordered two Tawuk Skewers and Two Grilled veggies, they just sent a bit more than one in... quantities of each items. This is the second time it happened. First time I let it slide, but this is unacceptable. I ate thereso I am aware of portion size. Also no pistachio was on Knafa Ashta provided. I complained to Uber, let's see. Otherwise food isdelicious. But I don’t appreciate the deceitful attitude of restaurant serving less to delivery customers just because theyare not in person to complaint. My husband started eating without knowing how much I ordered, so didn't take photo of the halfeaten food, but here's the dessert. Read more

Went for lunch to the restaurant. Started with a sampler platter of Tabuleh, Baba Ganoush and Hummus with Hot Pita Bread Greek... Mediterranean style and Akawi Cheese. It was excellent and felt that the food was being enjoyed in the streets of Beirut insteadof Younge Street. It was so delicious and flavorful. The mains were Grilled Prawns with garlic and Mediterranean sauce Prawnsin tomato garlic sauce Kefta Veal tenderloin We opted to have all the dishes with grilled vegetables instead of grill vegetablesand rice. The food was excellent and the lady serving us was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. This is a must visitplace and not only once but on a regular basis. The chefs, the servers, the management need a shout out for such goodcare Keep up the good work Read more
I ate here recently as a walk-in looking for some nice middle eastern kebabs and drinks. The portions are large and the meat was... well rounded. I recommend adding an order tahini sauce or other sauce if you do get a rice based dish. The lamb and beef dishwas amazing, you get a lot of meat! The salmon dish was a bit salty. Read more
