Don?t let the low rating sway your decision to give this place a try. I found the atmosphere and decor to be very... traditional/cozy and less modern than a lot of sushi restos now a days. I ordered their chicken teriyaki to-go and even thoughit is considered a simple dish, they executed it very nicely. The rice was cooked well, the chicken was laid over a bed of beansprouts and it wasn?t drowned in sauce (they serve it on the side so kudos to them). The dish also came with salad and misosoup. I've gotten takeout from here a few times before, but this is my first time dining in. INFINITELY BETTER!!! Everything is made... fresh to order from the moment you order it, the servers are very helpful, and the place itself is gorgeous to boot! I just arrived from this place where I went for lunch. Horrible service! The two ladies who waited on us seemed like they were... ?robots?, no empathy, no customer service skills! It was my very first time there, so I asked something about this lunch specialplate, and the server just gave me the wrong information, I was the one who ended up figuring out for myself what I needed toknow about the plate. I asked for a fork for both servers, to use it with my meal, None of the ?spaced out? servers came tobring me the fork. I had to stand up to grab one! I asked for iced tea, she said she would bring me the green tea with ice cubesinside, because they didn?t have iced tea. My friend got her hot green tea, I never got mine! We went for dinner and ordered the Dragon Party Tray for two. The staff was very professional and friendly and the service was... very quick. While we waited for the tray the waitress brought us hearty miso soups. The presentation was superb and all of theassorted sushi, sashimi and rolls were delicious. The stars of the show were the Green Dragon Rolls and the Gold Dragon Rolls.They were very tasty and perfectly seasoned with spicy creamy sauce. The decor was nice and all the chefs were wearing authentictraditional Japanese clothes. Even the washrooms were very clean and stylish. Would definitely recommend based on our dine-inexperience. The sushi was good, but I was so disappointed by the amount of soy sauce delivered for a big meal for two people. We couldn?t... get through even half the meal with the tiny amount of soy sauce provided and didn?t have any personal stock. Just verydisappointed with this level of penny-pinching. Read more
Nothing wrong with this place at all, and not sure why all the bad reviews. First time here (I understand it's a new location)... and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The decor is a little over the top but a lot of work was clearly put into it! Got ahuge dinner bento box for $20. Quality on par with similar "Japanese" restaurants at that price point. Would like to try therolls next time. Fast, friendly service, felt like a very safe and clean place to eat during the pandemic. Read more
One word: HORRIBLE! Ordered from Uber eats, packaging was horrible, the rolls were all over the place mixed with the Wasabi,... which I don't like (driver could take the blame on this one perhaps). Quality was awful, it wasn't fresh, the rolls had notaste.. The EEL was bad, usually my favourite and my go to, but from this place, no! In summary, worst sushi I've ever eaten!!
