I went in there and looked at menu,plenty to choose however DO NOT EAT off the warming table absolutely disgusting. I had the... red snapper it was hard as a rock the meat of fish was dry and hard the rice and peas had a taste like it was not fresh had arefrigerator taste so I spent 16.00 and the only thing I enjoyed was the coleslaw. Of all the amazing local places that didn't survive the pandemic, I'm just in shock and dissapointed this place is still... standing. Portion sizes are a joke compared to the price you're paying. Jerk chicken is bland as hell and several others havecommented on the quality of the rice and YES! It's 100% accurate. This is place is a gross disrespect towards Carribean food.While we're on the topic of disrespectful- the customer service here is breathtakingly atrocious. Is this business aware of justhow many locals surround the place and how many people they're driving away by conducting themselves in such an unprofessionalmanner? This is the 3rd time I bought food from this location and everytume I go I end up disappointed. I paid 17 dollars for rice that... had a lot of really hard grains in it and about 3 solid pieces of oxtail with some shredded pieces in between. Not even a dropof coleslaw or nothing else. I'm actually disappointed for the FIRST TIME WITH THIS RESTAURANT. I order 2 large curry chicken mean deal, first time in 3... months eating actual food and not liquid. Visited this restaurant a lot, most recent visit was yesterday.... Like other reviewers I agree the customer service is very... poor. I never go there and get through right away, always having to call as they're always around the back and take forever tocome and serve you. One time the server put meat gravy on my rice without asking me, and when I told her I don't eat meat I onlyeat chicken she made up her face and gave me 'bad eye' as Jamaicans would say. Then she attempted to scrape the gravy off therice, I had to tell her I don't want that I want a new serving of rice.... Anyways, I kept going back because I like thefestival and the chicken is good when done properly... Yesterday I bought 3 festivals on the side and all 3 of them were staleand tough, we couldn't bite them much less chew them so I had to throw them out. Was also disappointed that the jerk chicken wasnot all that hot, and to make matters worst the Bar-be-fry chicken that I bought on the side (2 pieces) was not well done. Seephoto. I ordered a 2 large BBQ chicken meals. After removing the BBQ chicken I noticed the how little rice there is and was very... disappointed. I did go here weeks ago and it was decent. Second time I ordered via ubereats and they are very stingy with riceand gravy. Will never buy here again! My advice for this Establishment is I don't want an explanation or an apology just... The WORST rice and peas i have ever eaten in my life.. PLEASE PLEASE do not order from this resturant especially if you see a 2 ... for 1 deal on Ubereats eats, which is where we ordered from.. I can literally count how many peas where on my plate. It wasHorrible! We asked for oxtail gravy and it was totally ignored. The jerk chicken was so dry and the pieces of chicken lookedpathetic and it was raw on the inside. We also paid for 2 coleslaw but they sent Only 1. There is Absolutely nothing good aboutthis place. I read some of the reviews before placing my order but decided to give it a try anyways! Hopefully this review willprevent somebody else from making the same mistake i did.
