I got the vegan box combo - my first time eating here - and was so impressed by the flavour, quantity and price! 3 types of... curries with rice and samosas were filling enough for two, making this my new go-to place for Indian food. Popped in for lunch on Wednesday, alone. It was my first time there and i was treated very kindly by the couple who were either... the owners or the managers (or both!). Lovely people, she explained the different dosa preparations and made a recommendation.It was delicious and i was really hungry, but halfway through, i thought: "i really want to give this place (and the people) agood review!". Had a chance to eat at the Roncesvalles location yesterday with my son and his gf. I frequently ate at South Indian Dosa Mahal... at Bloor/Lansdowne before the fire and I have longed for their food ever since. The food is still just as amazing and the pricesare great. Delicious, fresh and beautifully spiced dosa! Wow. I had the Tamarind Masala Dosa. Sweet, spicy, crispy, with a delicious potato... mixture in the middle. Tried their Herb Zest Dosa. No such strong flavour of herbs or lemon. Dosa batter was okayish, not great not bad. The potato... filling was good though. The sambhar was tasty but quantity was very less as compared to what you usually get. No coconutchutney given. Happened upon this place and am now wondering how much I have missed out on all this time. I ordered the plain dosa platter,... which came with an excellent variety of curries and chutneys. It was over the moon delicious, every single thing. I amespecially fond of their hot masala tea. Service was also 5 star. The person who served me did so with great knowledge of thefood and a kind heart, giving me some extra chutney without asking after we talked about how much I particularly liked that onethe best. This restaurant is a must visit. I loved everything about my dining experience. The food was bursting with flavor and healthy.... The dosa was so crispy- its was soooo good! The three curries and chutneys were mind-blowingly amazing and delicious. The staffwas amazing too, she was kind, attentive and informative. I liked the decor and ambiance too.
