Reviews for Smith in Toronto, ON
We had such a nice time at Smith! Wow I can’t believe how busy it was. Luckily we made a reservation so we only had to wait a... short 5 minutes before they sat us at our table. We actually shared a large table with two other guests who we eventuallychatted up, became friends and shared a cocktail with! So fun! Speaking of food and and drinks - everything hit the spot. Myboyfriend had the brisket hash which had so much hearty flavour. I had the chicken panini which was good - exactly what I wantedsomething light but also satisfying. The chicken breast was a smidge dry, but I know it’s hard to keep breast juicy so I canforgive. Espresso martini was amazing! Great service here too! I didn’t catch my servers name but he was wearing apurple/black striped shirt and he was awesome! Thanks Smith! Read more

UBER EATS DELIVERY: Got the Ballina Benedict, Smith Breakfast, and Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes. Overall, a great amount of... food for the value and it tasted great. The only problem we had was the 'Smith Breakfast' doesn't list the beans as included(even though it's shown in the photo on the app) so I ordered a whole side of beans ($5) only to find out the dish did end upcoming with it's own portion. The Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes are on another level though - must try if you like any ofthose words. Read more
They have nice, compact interiors with friendly staff members. Although the sitting arrangements are a bit tight, the restaurant... gives out a nice vibe. The ambience was nice but a bit too loud for my personal taste, though my wife didn’t have any issueswith it. We ordered one chicken sandwich, one strawberry cheesecake pancakes and a cappuccino. All of them tasted really good, the portions were quite generous and price seemed fair enough. Overall good experience and would recommend for weekend brunchdates. Read more
Come for the food, stay for the washroom. Food: Pretty disappointing and expensive. Famous strawberry cheesecake pancakes were... cold and kinda rubbery. The eggs benedict were also a bit tough to eat. Service: Staff were really nice albeit extremely busy.Wasn't a huge deal for us personally although it was hard to get to get their attention most of the meal. Atmosphere: Reallycozy dining experience! Our favorite part of the whole meal was using the washroom. The sink is extremely confusing andimpractical. Figuring out how to operate the sink with five other equally puzzled patrons was a fun, memorable experience. Nosarcasm as I actually really did enjoy this part the most. Overall, there are better and slightly cheaper places for brunchdowntown. Read more
Beautiful beautiful place, 3 stories of different layout and design, so you don’t get bored ???? my favourite spot is on the... third floor though, kind of dark and cozy. On the food: generous potions, delicious, kind of diner-like. Don’t forget to trytheir baked goods, it’s an amazing complement! Read more
Every single thing of the entire experience was delightfully memorable! Our table was ready within minutes of our arrival. The... service was warm, friendly, and on point. We got checked on at the perfect times and the food came out quickly. The food wasabsolutely incredible! Get the brisket, you'll thank me. Top 3 memorable brunch meals I've ever had. Everyone else gave theirmeals top praise, perfectly prepared, served warm, fresh, and delicious. The space inside is tight but cozy with enough room tomove around. It has an outside feel inside. Great vibes with lots of character. The bathroom is super cool with an old schoolcommunal faucet, felt like stepping back in time to a bygone era where class was king. And the prices were great, 4 completemeals for under 120, can't beat that in the GTA for what we got. Make a reservation now, I have a feeling this will be yourregular brunch spot. Read more
Good food and great service in a hip place. I had brunch here on a Saturday morning with my wife and 23 month old. The nice part... about Smith is that they allow reservations for brunch! We showed up at 9am (opening time) and were the first guests of the day.Note that they didn’t open the door until 9:05. We were seated on the first floor which was roomy enough to accommodate atable with a high chair. Food-wise, it’s more of a 4 than a 5. The brisket in the hash was a little dry and the poached eggswere over cooked (not runny). The chicken in the panini was also on the dry side. The pancakes were tasty because of thesauce/topping which it could have used more of. Aside from the above, the rest of the food components were pretty good. I shouldalso mention that the hash and pancakes were generous portions. Service-wise, it’s a 5. Very pleasant staff with attentiveand courteous service. The people working here are lovely. When we were leaving, my child had accidentally left his toy carbehind and one of the staff members ran outside in the rain to hand it back to us! We were so grateful as my son would have beenso disappointed to lose his toy. Thank you again to the kind lady for saving us from another toddler tantrum! Overall, I woulddefinitely dine here again and try more of their menu. Service here is great and the restaurant is family friendly (at least onthe first floor). We will be back! :) Read more
