Reviews for Silk Road Lounge & Restaurant in Toronto, ON
Underrated restaurant. Food here is beautiful and tasty. I ordered the Mongolian ribs, lamb shank and Barg steak, Kabuli... chicken between two people. The ribs were smoky and sweet and the barg steak was delicious. My favourite was the lamb shank, ittasted a lot like nihari meat and was plated beautifully. However I was not a fan of the Kabuli chicken, it was bland andunderwhelming. The patio was lovely but I wish it was heated, we were cold, food got cold fast. They only had one heater and itwas broken the night I dined. Also portions were very small. Which I know is expected, but these were still too small in myopinion. 3 mains and 1 app between two people and it didn’t feel like much. I also put this was a birthday in my reservationbut they did not bring out anything. Overall the experience was good. The lamb shank and Barg steak are definitely worthtrying. Read more
Excellent first-time experience at Silk Road! It's a beautifully situated restaurant near Trinity Bellwoods Park. We dined prior... to Nuit Blanche and ate in the outdoor patio replete with fairy lights and faux ivy. It's one of the nicest patios we've dinedin so far, feels like a friend's backyard. Jazz created for great ambience, sounded like a live band! Our server was friendly, efficient, and gave us great recommendations. For two, we ordered four small dishes and dessert, and everything was flavourfuland delicious. We look forward to returning in the colder weather and still be able to eat outside because they have heatlamps. Yay! Read more
Was a beautiful dinner that I spent at Silk Road. We got the hummus, shrimp, and chicken pilaf. The bread was divine and the dip... was so delicious. I loved the shrimp, very flavourful, and the pilaf was delicious as well. Overall, great service, cleanrestaurant, calming music and beautiful decor, and just a great experience. I’ll definitely be dining here again. Read more
We ordered Smoked egg plant dip, chicken kabob bao, and Tavuk sis. Every single dish was delicious. Food was well balanced with... fresh ingredients. For desert we ordered Spiced poached pear. Until today I didn’t think pears belong in desert. Next time Igo here I am going with large group, so I can order everything off the menu. Our server did a fantastic job explaining eachdishes to us. Thank you once again for amazing food. Read more
Definitely one of the most delicious all you can eat experiences I've been to. Everything was made fresh to order and the... manager even came out several times to serve us and make sure everything was up to standards. I would definitely highlyrecommend this place for any of you foodies out there. Even if you don't eat as much as I do, I highly recommend trying theirversion of the bao. It's the traditional soft bun but you'll be surprised with what's inside. Definitely filling but had anamazing experience. I will be back! Read more
This is our favourite restaurant in Toronto. Every dish is so thoughtfully curated to give you a delicious and exciting... experience. The meats were all really fresh, juicy and tender, not overly spiced so you can enjoy the freshness. Salads werecreative and cute and the drinks were refreshing. The ambience was great too and service staff were attentive, friendly andhelpful. We enjoyed this place so much! Read more
Flavourful and fresh tasting selection of dishes. The bread is such a simple highlight; slight crunch on the outside and soft in... the middle, in no way oily without being dry. Lamb chops were tastefully seasoned. Don't be afraid to ask for the secret drinksmenu (selection of fine teas, served with more care than you could ever expect). Had a great time. Read more
This a late post. Few days back I wanted to try something different somewhat like a fusion. That’s what I felt in Silk Road.... It’s a fusion of little western touch a pure Mediterranean cuisine. Firstly as reviewers suggested there dips for trio platterare fantastic and a must try. Wings tanoori, chicken was really I was able to sense that charcoal flavour in the chicken. Andwith those dips it elevates the flavours. Moving on to main course lamb was superb soft tender juicy has a nice ratio with rice. For the dessert I had a spiced pear but I didn’t felt that way. I was expecting more flavour to it.Customer service was topnotch.I liked the ambiance a-lot too. Overall my experience was really good and I might visit again for something new. Read more
