I really wanted to like this place but I was really disappointed. Fish was a bit rubbery & batter chewy & very greasy. I am a... tarter sauce guy and usually bathe my fish in it but this was the very first time I did not even touch it, very salty & sourwith a weird taste - enough to turn your stomach. I mistakenly ordered the gravy & paid $4 for a small cup of it and not surewhat is in that gravy perhaps the witches stew ? Or possibly it has gone bad ?. Seems as if they add a lot of oil to the gravyso it lasts longer ? not sure but probably the worst gravy I have ever had. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the friesatleast ??????? and why I did not give it a 1 star. Too bad as the setting and decor had me convinced it was going to be reallygood. Really sorry for the terrible review & I will probably never be back ever again. Read more

Given the layback nature of the area, I wasn't expecting a quality fish and chips joint, but when you walk up and see the... interior design & work ethic of the crew, your expectations will be brought up - and Sea Witch does not disappoint. The chipsare perfectly salted and cooked. The fish is great (we had the haddock and trout). If I were to be subjectively preferential tochase the last 5% though, I would say that the batter is a bit on the thick and heavy side which can lead to heaviness if youare not a regular indulger. Great place, people, and food. Two thumbs up. Grade A! Read more

Small menu, straight to the point. I would like to see the option of having less fries and have coleslaw instead.

Amazing batter. Got the trout and the cod with onion rings and poutine. I preferred the trout because the cod flavour got a... little lost, but the trout was awesome. Huge portions. Great onion rings. Fries are old-timey thick cut, which I know can becontroversial depending on your personal preference. Perhaps the best fish and chips in Toronto proper. Read more

Great Fish n chips. Almost 5 stars. Batter was a bit thick and was deliciously crunchy. Not a ton of fish (cod) for the amount... of batter. Definitely would go back but might try the haddock instead. Read more
