Got the shio ramen and it was so-so. The noodles were all stuck together, and the pork was over cooked so not very tender. I... didn't find the broth to be as salty or flavourful as other places. That being said, a lot of other things on their menu lookedreally good, so I'm excited to try and update my review! Read more

This cute little gem on the Danforth is one of the best authentic Japanese restaurants. I've been eating here for past 4 years... and everything is delicious! Service is exceptional too! I love the Miso Black Cod so much but have tried just about everythingone the menu. Read more

Loved the neopolitan Japanese pasta - it had a unique sweetness to it and was surprisingly filling. I would have loved to give 5... stars for it but unfortunately my hamburger steak was kinda overcooked and too tough, while my chukadon was a touch too salty. Read more

I came to Sakawa Coffee for dinner on a Thursday. It's a small and quiet restaurant. I ordered the omurice with salad, hamburger... steak and ice matcha latte. The menu is pretty expensive for a casual restaurant. I didn't really enjoy the flavours of the foodbecause I dislike tomatoes but it is worth noting that the hamburger steak was cooked very well. It had a great texture and wasreally juicy. The ice matcha latte was yummy. I will come back in the future to try other items on their menu. Read more

Awesome spot for some classic Japanese breakfast with amazingly friendly staff. Love to see napolitan on the menu! Will have to... come back to try it. As for the ramen, the tonkotsu was okay. The broth is decent but a bit lighter than I like personally. Thenoodles are good but nothing to write home about. The pork could definitely be softer, and was a bit chewy. The hell ramenhowever had a much richer broth and overall a more enjoyable bowl. Read more

This Japanese restaurant is great - very easy to find, and it's closed to the metro station. The staff is friendly, and this... place is quiet (peaceful). I ordered 2 dishes - 1 dine-in and 1 for take-out: #1 Omu Rice with Salad - $16.99CAD #2 Takoyaki -$11.99CAD Total (include tax) - $32.75CAD *I feel it's a little expensive...... but not too expensive...... Overall everythingis good, and I enjoy eating there - though I was the only customer when I came in, nothing bad there :-) If I have a chance towalk by, I think I may dine in again. Read more

Crispy, juicy and thick pork tonkatsu. Curry was flavourful and rich in flavour. Rice was slightly overcooked. I've been on the... hunt for a good tonkatsu and curry and this hits top 5 favourites so far! I ordered a second time and was pretty disappointed. The pork tonkatsu and curry was not good as the first time and the tuna Don wasn't good and didn't taste fresh. Read more
