Nice atmosphere and very good service. It is a fine dining experience, so naturally, do not go in expecting a cheap meal. Three... things I will say is my wife and I ordered a fair number of things for just 2 people. We were sat at a small two-person table,so it was a little cluttered with all our plates. Definitely do not order too much at once if you are at a two-top. Not theirfault, just a warning for couples with big appetites. The other thing is we got the filet steak ordered medium rare. One sidewas perfect, but the other side was overcooked to mid-well. Not sure if this is a common thing because of their equipment, or wewere just a little unlucky. Lastly, I had a slightly difficult time cutting the steak. Not sure if we were given the wrongknife(s), or their steak knives are just bad. Read more
Perfect for an intimate Italian dinner. Inside is dark and moody, outside is lush and sparking with string lights. The patio is... covered and heated and great for fall nights. The staff are attentive and the food is classic and quality. The burrata wasincredibly creamy and the tomatoes were bursting with flavour. Came here for a celebration with a large group. They were only able to accommodate us at an earlier time (5pm) since it?s a... smaller space and not really meant for large groups. Definitely more for intimate dinners. We used their valet services whichis really one guy running around, and the staff didn?t seem to be too knowledgeable on how much it costs since it?s anothercompany (it?s $20). The staff here were very courteous and service was great, (but it was also super early so there were maybe2 other tables seated at the time). We ordered a lot of food and everything tasted delicious. The seafood appetizers were sotender and delicious, I would highly recommend them. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the carbonara. It wastedpretty mediocre in my opinion. It was first visit to Sotto Sotto and definitely won't be the last. As a starter, we ordered the grilled octopus and for the... mains, we ordered lamb chops and mushroom pasta with truffles for an additional cost. The octopus was very soft - probably oneof the best I've had. The mains were also great, but was a bit disappointed at first when the pasta came because I was expectingactual pieces of truffles on it, considering the additional price. Howe the disappointment didn't last long because the tastewas absolutely amazing. I had high expectations for the restaurant and they definitely met my standards. Classier joint with cool decor, old school showbiz vibes... incredible, incredible service.. I find the Carbonara to be hit or... miss though: work of art one day, then way too much guanciale fat the next. The steaks are always juicy and perfect though..Overall, would definitely recommend visiting.. Good date spot ???????? Read more
