I work a block down from this popeyes. Listed hours are open at 11AM. Every weekday, without fail they are not open at 11am. Its... absurd. Not only that, but they dont even have their entire menu ready to serve unless you want to wait an additional 15-20minutes. So there's me. Imagine waiting 40 minutes for a chicken burger. This place needs to get their shift together. Read more

Have ordered from this location several times through skip the dishes and in person. Food is usually good however wait times can... be long. Also have had many. problems with orders through skip with missing sauces or missing hot sauce when requested. Wouldrecommend picking up in person to confirm everything is in your order and that you actually receive the sauces you payfor. Updating review as they have forgotten dipping sauces and hot sauce the last couple of times for my skip orders. Read more

I think this place has been improving. I remember the first time i came here it wasn't that great and it kind of depends on the... time of day if you get good chicken or not. But I went there recently and had a great experience. Ordered chicken tender meal, the chicken was juicy and cripsy. What more can you ask for from popeyes, just hits a spot, will go back for more. I've had a number of concerns that have accumulated over the last while from multiple locations. But an occurance today (Thurs,... Sept 15) at 228 Wellington St W (Toronto, Ontario) was the last straw in the string of poor experiences. I visited the abovelocation on that date as the typical business lunchtime began after 12pm noon (very busy business and commercial area downtownToronto). I ordered a Classic Chicken Sandwich and was advised by the cashier that it would be about 5 mins. While it wassurprising that the staff were not fully prepared for the lunch rush, I appreciated that heads-up and made the order andprepared for the brief wait. Unfortunately, it took 20 mins for my order (along with others after me who ordered a chickensandwich) to be ready. I counted at least 10 other people from those in line behind me that received their orders first (thesepeople ordered items other than a chicken sandwich). Meanwhile, me and many others were left waiting without any communication. This was an excruciating wait as (1) this was much longer than merely 5 mins (I would never have proceeded with my order if Iwould've known); (2) there was seemingly very little sense of urgency nor concern shown by the staff to this sandwich situation, plus the ever-increasing growing line during a busy lunch rush (along with the growing crowd off to the side of those whofinished ordering a chicken sandwich and stuck waiting like me); (3) how can they not be prepared for a lunch rush with one ofthe most frequently ordered items on the menu?; (4) for most of us who were on our lunch break, this took up at least half ofour lunch time. I've experienced bad services levels from this location before (e.g., staff socializing outside and/or in thekitchen for excessively long, not paying attention to the front while no cashier is present to take our orders). The servicelevels are also pretty poor at the 208 Queens Quay location; granted, they are much busier there, so I've cut them Read more

The location is so-so. Staff appear to have trouble understanding the order menu. Also, it appears that you get "special"... treatment for biracial couples. Maybe change your "old world" values please, you'll get more business. Considering all of thestaff was of "ethnic" background this left us puzzled. I appreciate this is not high paid positions, but cultural sensitivitytraining wouldn't hurt here. Portions appear smaller than in other Popeyes locations. The washroom is in less than desirablecondition, garbage on the main floor is overflowing for over 30 minutes or more. I'd avoid this place, unless you absolutelymust eat at the moment. Read more

I don?t know what happened with this restaurant chain. I?ve been repeatedly having issues with extreme wait times and wrong... orders. I just tried to give Popeye?s another chance after a year of not giving them my business and I just experienced an hourand 15 minute wait for my order while watching 3 large lineups of people get orders before me. I had even confirmed with themwhen I first walked in that they received my online order. After the hour wait time, I asked if they were almost done my 9piece combo yet and they seemed to be unaware I had an order somehow and proceeded to print out my item ticket and tell me 15more minutes. Oh and they didn?t have the side I ordered and so they had to replace it with something else. They did saythey?ll give me a few extra pieces of chicken for the trouble which is why I decided to give this location 1 extra star but thisis unacceptable. Time to quit getting Popeye?s for good! P.S. The food was ok Read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I no longer live in Toronto so I don't get to eat ar Popeye's very often, but whenever... I visit I make a point of eating here! The food is outstanding with their spicy chicken, spicy fries and fabulous biscuits! Ifyou get the opportunity, don't hesitate. Stop by and grab yourself some great Louisianna style chicken - you won't bedisappointed! Read more

We stopped by after Blue Jays game. Chicken tenders were really tender and juicy. We found that they could be rather over cooked... in other location, but not here. Also Chicken sandwich was delicious and they have a good choice of drinks (but no free refillsat this time) Staff is very welcoming and was helpful, even when dealing with another unfriendly customer, they were ratherpatient in that situation.
