More like 4.5 stars. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is decent as well, would recommend the oxtail dish. One... thing to note is that you can’t choose the level of spiciness of the curry, and it might be too spicy for some. One downsideabout this place is that it’s quite expensive compared to other similar Thai restaurants. Read more

Excellent taste and presentation. Green Curry and Pad Thai are tasty and vegetarian friendly. Unfortunately service was poor. ... Reception was great, first server helpful, but our waitresses took the order, and that was about the only service we received. Still highly recommend based on taste and food presentation. Read more

First time at this location as I normally go to the one downtown. Initial impressions were stellar as this location seemed more... spacious with higher ceilings and properly socially distanced. Getting to the food, hands down the pork skewers (moo ping) werethe best thing that I ate in recent memory. The sweetness added onto the savoury taste of the succulent and tender meat was theperfect combination. We wanted to order more but the kitchen unfortunately closed by then ????. In terms of the other dishes, everything was spicy by default. I'm not someone that can tolerate spice so when my pad see ew came with heat, I immediatelyasked why it's so spicy by default. I have eaten at many Thai restaurants in the past and they've all had a non-spicy option. When I talked to the waitress, she asked if I had placed the chili flakes on the dish, which obviously I wouldn't. Then theysaid that they can't do anything about it which led to me not enjoying my main course at all. The mango sticky rice dessert wasjust ok, nothing out of the ordinary and I've had better at other Thai places before. This one is just a cut-up mango on top ofsticky rice. When it came time for the bill, it took around an hour to actually settle which is actually such an atrociousexperience. They took forever to get to us with a bill that can be split up 5 ways. We mentioned that there were mistakes in theitems ordered and it seemed like they can't recollect what we actually ordered. It took very long to make micro-adjustments sowe were doubting the capabilities of the establishment to do basic math. I have always had positive experiences with the PAIdowntown so this is definitely not one of those places I'd come back to if I had a choice. Read more

A must try place if you enjoy Thai food. I first tried Pai out during the pandemic and ordered pickup, however dining in is an... experience with the unique interior. The food is solid, there was no quality difference whether it was take out or dine in.Obviously dining in was better as you get to enjoy the food immediately. The cocktails were great and my partner loved theRaptors inspired ones. Will definitely come again for special occasions or just to grab a bit. Read more

They seated us without a reservation, which I’d recommend. The space feels open with the high ceilings. Their upstairs was... also open. The food was delicious and flavourful. My dinner companion asked for Thai spicy and it was for me, although she addedmore. My noodle dish was perfect, creamy and filling. The Chai teas were also authentic tasting. I was happy to see that thefood quality hadn’t dropped at this newer location. I’ll go back to check out their entertainment and the tasty food Read more

PAI was very good. I love all the decors and atmosphere. Their service was good and I could notice how all the staffs had a very... welcoming and friendly vibes. When I went there, a musician was performing music live all night long. Along with all the happychatters around, PAI's audible experience was superb. When it comes to food, I ordered one of its curries and a spicy pork dish. Both of them were very delicious. I particularly love their curry. While the price is definitely a bit pricey compared to otherThai restaurants, I believe it is worth it to visit PAI as they offer amazing dining experience that satisfy almost all thesensual levels in terms of sight, hearing, smell and taste (maybe they offer some touch as well). I would definitely come backto dine here. It was definitely an enjoyable dinner. Read more

I always love coming to Pai’s Uptown location. The ambiance is fantastic, with a spacious interior that is decorated to feel... like you’re sitting in the middle of a busy street in Thailand. They even have live music on the weekends! The food and mixeddrinks are great and neither have ever disappointed me. There’s a wide variety of options for everyone, including those withdietary restrictions. All in all a great experience and one of the quintessential spots for Thai in Toronto. Read more

Would recommend/return. Classic outpost of the downtown legend. It is actually quite large inside despite how it looks from the... street. Great ambiance. Recommend the grilled pork skewers. Smokey, charred, tender, sweet, salty. 2 per person is barelyenough. The Tom Yum is also extremely well done, should be a little more spicy but it should be perfect for mostpalates. Green mango salad is a great sharing starter. Sweet tangy and refreshing. Read more
