Came on a Monday and ordered their daily special (classic salmon) as well as the eel bowl for take-out. Both came with a free... pop. The bowls are pretty big in my opinion and they secured it with elastic bands to make sure the lids stayed on (wasn?tclosed shut since it was hot). Staff was friendly and was in the middle of restocking/prep since it wasn?t busy. Super fillingbowls. Lots of rice, only thing I didn?t like was that the rice was hot; would prefer a room temp/cooler rice. Both bowls weregood, toppings were yummy and had enough to balance the rice ratio. The salmon bowl was a bit too saucy for me personally butgood regardless. In terms of freshness, I?ve definitely had bowls with fresher salmon but it wasn?t BAD, not too salty either(despite it being so saucy). The eel was good, at first thought there wouldn?t be enough sauce to mix the rice with but itturned out fine. Overall, both were good but think the hot rice ruined it a bit for us PERSONALLY because would have been morerefreshing if it was cooler. Would probably come back to try the other bowls! Read more
My girlfriend eats here in the regular. She would order take out once a week. She would customize her bowls which costs her a... whopping 25 dollars each time. I?m more of a simple man and would order the bowls on the menu. Fresh ingredients, great tasting,we love this place. Read more
Favorite poke I've had since visiting Waikiki. The bowls are very generous portions, they're packed full of a variety of fresh... ingredients, and the staff are always super nice. They currently have a walk in deal where drinks are free with any purchase ofa bowl, making it a great (and relatively healthy) lunch option. Read more
Ordered my own small bowl creation through DoorDash and it was ready within 5 minutes. When I drove to pick it up, it was ready... on the counter. Portions were great and worth the money. Kind of wish they added more salmon but everything else was reallytasty. Fast service and good food. Read more
Ono Poké recently opened in the Square One area, and being a poké-head myself, I decided to give this place a try. The visuals... of this small takeout restaurant are very cute, although it?s immediate neighbour ?Hi Yogurt? steals the show (see pictures). Iordered a snack sized Spicy mango bowl, and was a bit disappointed. To compete with franchises such as In a Bowl and Poké Box,you must be extremely tasty. Yet, I found the bowl to be quite simple with no unique touches or flavours added. It is good, butI find that the sauce is only spicy and has no flavour. The mangoes should?ve been blended with the tangy sauce flavour, butinstead it feels like two separate parts of the bowl. Nothing special about the other ingredients and the choppedsalmon. Overall, there?s lots that can be improved upon, especially for the price of $13.99. Read more
Ono Poke Bar recently opened up another location near Square One. I first tried ONO in Liberty Village but I?m so happy there is... one so much closer to me now! ???? They have so many options for protein including salmon, tuna, steak, chicken, tofu andunagi. The one thing I love about ONO is that they offer a snack size and a regular size. The portion for the regular size isHUGE so the snack size is perfect for me! ?? You can make your own bowl choosing the base, main, toppings and sauce but wetried the ONO Signatures - Spicy ???? I got the Big Island. It came with salmon, tuna, avocado, carrot, corn, edamame, pineapple, fried wonton, spicy mayo and sesame.... I thought it was just okay. It's a big portion but I felt like the salmon and tuna were lacking in flavour. The fried wontonsgave it a crunchy texture but it was nothing special. Avocados looked a bit dark too. Read more
