Reviews for Nile River Restaurant in Toronto, ON
This was truly an authentic Egyptian food experience. I cleaned my plate! The waiters and overall service was also... lovely. However, I refrained from giving Nile River Restaurant a 5 star review for one important reason- the food I had was notfresh tasting. It tasted as if every item we ordered was made in the morning. We got a mixed grill platter, lentil soup, and asalad. My family could not tell because they are not as fussy as me, but I could taste the level of freshness of the meal. Tobe fair to the restaurant, we visited on a weeknight and it was it was nearly empty inside. That is not an excuse though-integrity is important. I think that coming here on the weekend would be better, since the demand for food will increase. Iwould love to come back again and see the real deal! Hopefully that will turn this into a 5 star review! Read more

Koshari is Good, friendly, mild taste. Even it contain garlic. And portion was pretty big. It will be enough if you feel hungry.
Nile River is a bit of a hidden gem?I keep expecting everyone to know about it (and they should - it?s on College street, the... food is great, and the space is large enough for a big crowd), but I end up being the one to introduce people to it. Thelocation is large and the tables are comfortable. There is some Egyptian motifs in the decoration, but honestly not enough thatit should be the main reason to visit. The main reason to visit is delicious and authentic Egyptian food. There are a fewplaces around Toronto that claim Egyptian, but only a handful present authentic Egyptian style recipes, and this is one ofthem! (Yes, the falafels are made using fava beans!) Portion sizes and pricing are both fair. The service is very good:friendly and helpful. If you?ve not already been, I?d highly recommend a visit. 4.5/5 Stars For more recipes, reviews andtravel, follow me on Instagram: @yamisohungry and @yamisosleepy ! Read more

If you are a fan of Mediteranian food, this is a must try. I ordered - Shish Tawook Dinner - Lentil soup For the dinner, you... have multiple choices such as Vermicelli rice & salad, Gluten free rice & house salad, Rice & fries, Fries & house salad, Riceonly and Fries only. You can also get grilled veggies, mashed potatoes and other types of salad. But you have to pay extra forthem. My order was delivered on time. There were also two loaves of bread and a small Garlic sauce with my order. The ShishTawook was fresh and tasted good. It was topped up with caramelized onion. The house salad had a dressing of olive oil andZaatar. The lentil soup was mixed and smooth. So do not expect to see the lentils. I enjoyed the food and will definitely orderfrom them again. We?ve dine in here a few times already and it?s about time to give review. Food here are absolutely appetizing . We?ve had... lentils soup and eggplants, always excellent taste. The mains were Kefta and Grilled Beef were just so delicious. You can tastethe different seasonings that were mixed into it. And unlike any other beef, this one is as tender as ever. We had Sana whoserved us, she was always attentive to our needs and surprisingly memorized all our orders without having to write them down, and Ofcourse the orders were correct ?? Lastly, the restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing and you can feel the Egyptianvibe. Overall, I think this place is underrated, I highly recommend to dine in and dig in.
