Service was beyond horrific. So many workers and not one of them was serving anyone. A bunch of us were standing at the door for... a good 15 minutes before anyone bothered to come up to us. When someone finally came, they didn?t hand us a menu or lead us to atable they just told us to ?sit ourselves down wherever.? The cashier was moving in slow motion, serving a customer every 10minutes. When we finally managed to order and sit down, we didn?t receive food for 25 minutes. When it finally arrived, half ofit was missing. We had to go up TWICE to ask for the rest of our order. The food itself was cold and the servings werehilariously small. Meanwhile, several other customers had their orders go missing while waiting for the staff to get ittogether. It was ridiculous. Not to mention it was filthy. Nando's is a South African flame grilled chicken restaurant with many locations across Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.... This location offers dine in, takeout, curbside pickup, Uber eats delivery. It's a fast serve concept restaurant where you goto the front counter place your order and pay first. You get a table number and they bring the food to you. The restaurant wasnot too busy at 3:45pm so we expected the wait time for the food to be short. The server brought us cutlery plate and glassesfor water. The garlic bread was served first. Thin sliced pieces of bread with some butter and garlic. Bread was grilled justright not too cripsy not too soggy. The chicken and sides did take longer than we expected. But it was worth the wait. Thewhole chicken was plated nicely with our large sides of spiced rice and mashed potatoes. Both sides were very tasty andflavorful. The chicken had a nice crispy skin and the inside was juicy. You have a choice of level of heat at Nandos whichrange from mild to hot. We went with medium heat. The peri peri sauce was not over powering but gave it a nice boost to thechicken. You can ask for a bottle of sauce to bring to your table for additional dipping sauce on your chicken. The place usescompostable takeout boxes kudos to them for caring for the environment. Overall we enjoyed the food and look forward to ournext visit here and perhaps try their famous flame grilled chicken sandwich. PS they do have beer and wine menu and they doserve sangria as well. Come by and give them a try. The reviews seem inconsistent to my personal experience so don't bediscouraged by the low rating this place puts out some delicous peri peri chicken. Was on my long list of places to visit. However, was disappointed with service. Didn't serve any water, choice of beer was not... available, however they compensated that with a dessert, but service was slow and were more focused on delivery. I wish I could give them 4 stars or more but the services wasn?t as good and after waiting so long for our food, part of them... came cold ???? After dinner went to get 2 warm Naught Natas and after waiting 20 min for them came cold ??????? Since it was ourfirst time at this place and trying the Piri Piri chicken highly recommended by some friends from Washington DC, the managergave us great attention and suggestions. The mango lime sauce is delicious, as well as their French fries and the chicken liver.The rest of the sides were cold - when they are supposed to come at the same temperature than the rest of the food. Nandos is my all time favourite!! I always order the double leg with either spiced rice, peri wedges or the corn. This location... has a very beautiful interior as well. Most Nandos restaurants are actually quite well done. I order the medium spice level andthen get the garlic sauce and lemon and herb sauce on the side. Read more
