Probably the least expensive Indian food in Toronto, so less choice, but home-made quality. Lamb masala with rice was great -... just $9. Comfort food on a cold winter day. Read more

I want to taste indian food. 1) The curry and subji were too oily and gracy, the oil they use was of low quality. 2) I saw the... man first clean the floor with his hand and then without washing hand making roti in tandoor and serving it with same hand. 3)the lady didn't wear glove while serving food she drop the subji down and put the same subji in container. No hygiene. I wouldnot suggest eating here. Read more

Maja is a cafeteria-style Indian spot that's really tasty. Their thalis/combos are extremely reasonably priced and come with a... few curries, rice, and fresh naan. The vegetable curries are all vegan! With that said, they do tend to be greasier than I'dlike. Read more

This is arguably the best curry and best prices for such good Indian food around here! Fresh naan just cannot be beat and the... fast service means this is my go to spot when I am short on time. Read more

I want to tell the story this place conjures in my mind everytime I come here, because it's important. Run by the same older... couple every day. Sometimes I see the woman in the window of the restaurant, staying late, probably doing finances. I have animage of their kids (if they are indeed a couple) saying "wow! This is SO good, you could open a restaurant!" The man and womanlook at each other a slight twinkle in their eyes. They're jaded, always working for other people and just want to makedecisions for themselves. It's not going to be easy but it's going to be theirs. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that theybring their original, tested, home cooked meals to the street. It's delicious. Every. Single. Time. Read more

Visited in 2017 and my 1st bite made me say WOW. Visited again today and I must say the taste and quality is still the same.... Ordered the meat thaali which gives you an option of selecting one veg dish and 2 meat dishes which is served with rice, BIG nanand salad. I went for spicy chicken tikka masala( order only if you can handle spicy), lamb curry, and yellow lentils. It?s morelike a take out place so don?t expect great customer service. Visit this place for good quality Indian taste. Quantity andQuality - 10/10 (you can actually have 2 nans with the amount of gravy they give you) Taste - 10/10 Service- you will get yourordered served to you within minutes, Nan is made fresh in front of you. Pricing- Really reasonable ( they havnt increased theirprices even though everything is getting expensive) Read more

Everything tastes homemade with the tandoori naan bread made fresh right in front of you. If you are advised that a certain dish... is spicy, it really is spicy. The spicy chicken was pretty good. We found the basmati rice a little undercooked. After we hadthe naan, it was a struggle to finish the rest of the meat dishes and chickpeas with the underdone rice. The lamb curry was alittle bland, and the chickpeas were a little better (there was an option of choosing one vegetarian dish from a selection oftwo lentils and the chickpeas). The salad was pretty decent though. The lady serving up the meals behind the counter was notoverly friendly but gave acceptable service. The worst disappointment was the older gentleman behind the counter. He had a colddemeanor and did not even try to respond to any of the polite conversation that we attempted to engage with him. He really madeus feel unwelcome. On the plus side, the staff in this place does not make you feel obligated to leave them a tip unless youwant to. If I ever visit this place again, it will be for some of the dishes that we enjoyed not for their service. Read more

The food is good and so is the quantity. Only wished the packing was better. Having three curries in pack will definitely result... in a mess and spill. I ordered for meat thali which had two meat curries of your choice (I went with butter chicken and lambcurries), one veg curry (I opted chickpea) with rice and a huge naan. Read more
